ok the "anyone in edmonton?" thread has got people from everywhere in alberta so i made this one for all Albertans to post there cool only in canada finds ect and also to share knowlege with fellow Albertans:)

heh actually this is a little fresher... much better ^_^ i can safely say, by the end of the february we're gonna rack up another 30 some pages...

dang... my celica body's takin' some real abuse these last few days... somehow, i ran it into a corner and put a dent in the front bumper, then something fell on it and put a little nick in the windshield, and now i ran the damn thing under a door at full speed with dark blue gears... it took me like, 25 feet to get up to full speed and POW! now i got a scratch on the roof... luckily, my friend has a really nice set of model paints and some chinese caligraphy brushes... :D but i gotta wait 2 months, then take a pic of supra AND the celica! wee! team toyota!! :p

pie - my 3.0 is a tomy bitcharg..it runs perfectly....and since i'm new with the tiny r/c's i cant really tell/know what is wrong with urs....sorry to hear about that though,, how you get that badboy fixed up =)

I can still get the magnets. Just tell me how many you need and if ANYONE ELSE WANTS ANY TELL ME ASAP. Remember, you need 2 to make the same size as a regular Bit size magnet. Price will be under $2 shipped, EACH. The more you get, the cheaper it will be.

I'm definitly going on a shopping spree tomorrow. Not only do I get a fat paycheck tomorrow but I also need to catch up on my modding (getting 2-3 new KIT racers tomorrow, one of those Walmart crane thing). Finally fully over my cold and feeling like modding again.

But one thing.. you more or less need a laser printer, and they’re rather delicate.. they can scratch off… (the lettering).. but i would LOVE the custom decal idea! ..!!

pie - if you only wanted the font, wouldnt you just be able to go onto like... word or something and type in really small font and print it out aslike......blue lettering and then color the rest of the area needed to fit under the windows black? and then just....tape it? lol......maybe i should try this.....ohhh i'm such a newbie...ai.

=) np np happy, it's allll good... actually, what i do is i put normal tape on paper, stick the red transluscent film on the tape, go to word, print out the letters, then peel off the film, then size, cut, stick!! it looks pretty good IMO, but i'll be sure to get pix... actually, i may not have my celica finished b4 sunday... i gotta repaint/remake my intercooler,... that freakin door i slammed into knocked it somewhere...

Well, after reviewing the prices for magnets again (it had been a while) I can probably do $1/each shipped! More if you want them insured. I'm not too sure how you ship magnets tho!? Might be more just because of special shipping. I'll make you pay as close to actual prices as possible.
PS- I already have a 2.2 KIT motor.. it owns! Gonna get some 2.6's tomorrow.

Well, everyone knows about the Bowden "institute".. I actually drove by Bowden on Monday on my way to Olds. Saw the nice FasGas plant and everything.. Must be a nice place to live with all the criminals.. :P

Also forgot my little computer fetish.. I fix them on the side for spare change and build them for people that request specialty units.

You like car audio? I went thru that fad also. Used to have 2 SoundStream 12" subs in my small car. Now they just sit in my room doing nothing, may put them back in my car someday! Also knew the guy who used to own the loudest car in Western Canada. He had 4 15" DD subs in his car running off 2 MMATTS amps. Car did a max of like 165db (back in 98 or so it was considered uber loud) I think before he sold all the stuff to support his growing Ecstacy habit. Awesome system but very very expensive.

oooo and car audio rocks!! only problem is... im afraid my car will make that annoying buzzing sound if the bass gets too strong... it makes parts of the car vibrate like mad.. i know it happens to TONS of the rice wannabes here... is there any way to avoid it?

the plant is shut down a bunch of indians bought it realized they didn't have enough money to keep it running and shut it down LOL. a friend of mine has a 800W legacy amp in his truck that has fried 3 subs total so far! he has an old 500W amp and the protection is fried on it so we use it to play a 60Hz tone into old internal computer speakers LOL we blew a voice coil 6' away and it was hot to the touch LOL

pie-- theres a product that is called brown bread it is a sound dampening material and you line the trunk with it and it usually helps lots and where it doesn't work just use some paper towel to stop buzzes hehe

Location: well... thats kinda a long story. I am originally from Barrhead Alberta (about an hour and a half north of edmonton) But I currently live in Tokoro, Hokkaido Japan. Moved here in September just for a change of pace, I live for free, eat for free and make money working (doing nothing... heh) Will be returning home in april, and maybe moving to Vancouver in september
Look: I dress in mostly hip hop clothes and some skate gear, as I am a hip hop dancer and used to aggressive inline.
Hobbies: Number one hobbie is Dance, I have taken formal lessons in all forms of dance since i was in grade three, but expertise in primarily Hip Hop and tap. My dance takes me to lessons in Vancouver and Los Angelas every summer. Hope to become a teacher/choreographer. Anything to do with computers pretty much, I have two Desktops and my Vaio Laptop. One Desktop is old, other is top of line as i made it myself, and the Laptop is number 2 on sonys top of the line list, heh. Lets see, what else? I love all asspects of design, Digital and not, I have been an artist most my life in pencil, and now working on 3D. Since the age of 4 when i got my first R/C Truck I have been hooked, I have three vehicles at the momment, but dont drive them as they are out dated... hope to get a t-maxx upon re-entering canada.

maybe im a little late to be joining, but im Doug, im 17(18 in may:D ) living in Red Deer and me and my friends have built a track in my basement. im gonna have my first big race here, $5 to enter and outa a couple of races the top three will get the spoils....so far, my asian heritage and interests has been passed onto my friends, over the past year, i've gotten my friends into GUndams, and now some of them are buying their own mini RC's to customize and race in my first ever grandprix:D itsd gonna be wicked

Ohhhh, i just found out that the hobby shop that i get my bit's stuff for, is getting in colored wheels!, coooool, i'll get those, and then a wrx shell, and start my first moding on my wrx shell. (since i really dont want to wreck my AM set)

What are your guy's future mods that you have planned for ur bits/ms?

i got a dual cell coming in from dieselboy (he's down in calgary too), some NiMH batteries, a lot of cosmetic mods that i've already done, and im gonna lower my bit once i get the nerve... lol =)

i would try the headlights, but im a little tight on time these days... maybe in a couple weeks :)

if you want crazy, absolutely nuts mod help, ask dieselboy... him and that monster dual cell WRX... whoa...:eek:
