Custom ZZ bodies now available!

Hold yer hats fellas. I got great news for ya. I'm sure that many of you (or atleast some of you) have seen some of the custom cast bodies for the bits. Well they're not alone now. The ZZ's as many of you know are more to scale than the bits, and in my opinion look better. Unfortanatly Radio shack puts out bodies from companies that shell out some dough. This leaves us wanting more. I've got a source that casts his own highly detailed bodies and is willing to supply us with what we are waiting for.
The material he uses is a special mixture that is strong yet still somewhat flexible. These are perfect casts of the diecast bodies he used. The fitting of the body is near perfect, all that needs to be done is a little trimming of the wheel well (sorta like lowering your car). Right now he has an Acura Rsx Type S (pictured) and an Escalade (that's right an escalade) He will be selling these casts for 1@$10 or 2@$18 and also offer free shipping if you order by FEB. 1st after that shipping will be $2. For more info and to order your car please email

The image does no justice. More detailed pics soon, but for now...

NitroBurner 01-28-2003 06:16 AM

What type paint is needed or can they come pre-painted? Any pics of the Escalade yet?

Canadian Bit 01-28-2003 07:13 AM

Hmm, they look good. I'd pay $25 for an Escalade with the 27 Mhz chassis with a controller and heatsink, but without everything else.

So these bodies are not transparent? And lights would not work in them? Just curious, since that's what it looks like. And is he planning on doing any other cars, or just the RS-X and the Escalade? If he ever does a 99-00 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS coupe like mine, except for the dent), I'll jump on that like a bum on a quarter!

Stridex 01-28-2003 12:09 PM

If you guys do a land-speeder, I'd pay $20. Has to fit perfectly like the starfish from the Spongebob kit.

LayZ 01-28-2003 03:25 PM

How could i make a request for this guy? i would kill for a Vette Zip Zap!

Update:

First THANK YOU to all of you who have expressed interest in the bodies ( not only people who have "grabbed" a few from me but those of you who have offered suggestions, criticism and motivation).

My apologies to those of you who have inquired in regard to photos of various vehicles. My Aunt has terminal cervical cancer and is bed ridden with no hospice care. She requires my personal attention often.

Now....here are pics of the 69 Charger body ( mounted on chassis). I have not been able to drill an antenna hole in any of my personal bodies yet ( 1. i have no drill 2. I have no time lol). There are many other pics available ...just e-mail and ask

Hey, nice Dodge Gharger Suntzu! Are you sure that body is on a Bit?

sessiz10 02-04-2003 06:28 PM

Okay suntzu what do ya need me to do sos I can get one of these charger bodies, I can break legs pretty good. They look F'in nice man, good job.

Swavey 02-04-2003 07:18 PM

to bad their not clear though..... someone should manufactur pit windows and lights, so bodies dont have to be clean, and you can just insert a window or somethin......

spoop 02-04-2003 08:11 PM

cool! But do they come painted? Cuz i'm not good at painting and I would buy on If they are.

A Vette and any lambo would be cool.
Also a chevy ssr!

sessiz10 02-04-2003 08:38 PM

Suntzu is working on making clear bodies.
Unfortunatly for the price fully painted bodies aren't possible but who knows maybe in the future.

Stridex 02-04-2003 10:08 PM

Clear resin molds require a vacuum chamber. Without it, it's "IMPOSIBLE" to get the air bubbles out. The regular cream finish resin molds are A LOT easier to use and much more cost effective. They also cure quicker.

Suntzu28 02-04-2003 10:40 PM

Your right Stridex ( although not imposible just Extremely time consuming). Stay tuned though as i will have some "clear" bodies coming up that may by pass the traditional hurdle clear agents provide.

Also there may be some sculpted bodies coming along also......Lots of new goodies.

Canadian Bit 02-06-2003 07:13 AM

Swavey 02-06-2003 09:19 AM

I just gotta say BMW Mini Cooper PLEASE!!!! looking at sites that hav tomies mold version posted makes me drool and knowing that they cancelled it makes me cry, heh.....
I would do anything for a good to scale (dosnt have to fit a zz or bit perfectly as long as it is equal or smaller to the zz, and equal or bigger to the bit I can extend the chassis ) version on the mini cooper.... with lotsa detail!

keep us posted on new stuffs, THANX

Suntzu28 02-06-2003 04:21 PM

All i can say is guys if you like the idea of custom cars ready to paint PICK UP A BODY. Materials cost and as much as i enjoy this making bodies isnt free ( but spreading the cost makes it darn near ).
Im not looking to "bank" simply looking to cover materials.

Swavey 02-06-2003 06:57 PM

whats the best way to score one from you? I live in japan, would shipping still be reasonable?

Stridex 02-06-2003 08:05 PM

Suntzu, who's products are you using to make these? How fast does the resin set?

Suntzu28 02-07-2003 12:36 AM

Swavey - E-mail Carbodies@hotmail.com..we will work something out....

Stridex - Although im no longer using bodies off retail shelves right now ( i will again in the future. Right now im attempting a 'free hand" model) in the past i have used a variety of cars ( i have never been a die cast fan so im not quite sure of all the name brands).

Ill check for you though....

Btw..i just switched over to a new semi clear agent ( for bodies).

Stridex 02-07-2003 01:06 AM

Let me know if the semi clear dries fast and without bubbles. If so, please let me know (in private if you must) where you bought it.

Edit: Suntzus, In my previous post, I was wondering what resin products you were using. It looks like alumilite, but I didn't want to guess. Am I right?

Suntzu28 02-07-2003 05:58 AM

E-mail me Stridex.......

FYI though i dont use resin.....

Spanky 02-07-2003 05:15 PM

hi everyone. im a bit person because i cant get the zaps. anyway i have been making custom bodys also for the bits. but in the creation process some of the bodys were too long. so i figured they might fit the zaps. i dont have one so im not sure. i have since made my molds a bit smaller so i probably wont make any more of the zip bodys but if i knew how much longer a zap was i could tell ya all if these fit. anyway im lookin for the dimension from the base of the front and rear tabs. i would really rather not throw these bodys out.

Suntzu28: your bodys are lookin awesome.

Suntzu28 02-07-2003 05:41 PM

Thanks Spanky..

I have seen your bodies..it looks as though you use a different technique that im familiar with. None the less they look promising ( all i saw was the "in process " body but it looked good). We should chat some time.
E-mail me when you get the chance.

For those of you who asked for clear bodies......take a look and tell me what you think. The detail is actually BETTER than the previous post ( i can tell because i look at them so much) but not by a lot. Anyway....clear bodies............

Swavey 02-07-2003 09:47 PM

That actually looks really sweet man!
nice work....................

I think your in buisness, lol

Canadian Bit 02-07-2003 09:57 PM

Just wait for me to get another Zip Zap and your in luck.

Suntzu28 02-07-2003 10:01 PM

Keep the car type suggestions coming.
If you want a specific car that i havent made...find 3 friends that want it also.
All bodies will be clear from now on....(unless specifically requested in some beige).

MythosGR 02-08-2003 07:14 PM

Why only bodies for the zips man...it's a shame....
LOL

ANyway your work is grat is there any chance of bit bodies?

Spanky 02-08-2003 07:34 PM

bit bodys... hehehehe, what ones are you looking for?

Suntzu28 02-08-2003 07:41 PM

Bad case of insomnia last night......

Ok gents'....recently i have been asked the question that is posed to me above A LOT. Truth is i prefer Zips...and i own a Sizer Celica and Booster Fairlady Z still in box ( UP FOR TRADE IF YOU WANT IT). Considering thats what i own , i invested money into making accessories for me ( i.e. Zip size bodies). With that being said im now making bodies for BITS.

AS of today i will be retooling molds ( or in the event that doesnt work using another method) to create bodies that fit the Bits perfectly. You ll just need to cut slits ( although...i dont see why i cant do that also...nm...ill do that). THESE BIT BODIES WILL BE THE SAME BODIES I HAVE AVAILABLE NOW....Just for bits. It should take me 24 hours considering i have all the resources required here except one thing which i may pick up today or tomorrow morning.

Has the All Star Game Started? lol

SkylineR34 02-09-2003 08:19 PM

i was just wondering if anyone could give me any tutorials on cutom body making i want to make some for my bitcharg's that would be unique like ones that i would be the only one to have that body
