dabigpig 01-26-2003 12:49 AM

AzNRocket 01-26-2003 12:49 AM

yep..saw 'em in RITE AID..or savon aren't they the same thing? one of those.

gtr2112 01-26-2003 01:05 AM

i got my wife the red beetle at circleK for xmas. it doesn't look as good as the tomy pullbacks but she likes it. it's called a ladybug.

hogjowlz 01-26-2003 03:02 AM

i think they must be the new run of "super racing". those were pretty fast but kinda problematic. maybe these are better.

t-squared 01-26-2003 08:32 AM

I don't think they're real.......

the wheelbase for the beetle and the one next to it looks different.......

shanly 01-26-2003 10:49 AM

yea, the bug looks like a zipzap, and the others look bit-tastic...

shanly 01-26-2003 10:50 AM

and cheap clones dont usually come with clear windows...and if im not mistaken isnt that bubble car on top a shen qui wei?

Vincent Flagg 01-26-2003 12:33 PM

BOOM

yes I have seen them in k-mart the first and last line of cars, are in your local kmart store, the other I have not seen them yet. maybe they are new generation of Clone R/C of the same brand

gtr2112 01-26-2003 03:22 PM

they're super racers. and most of them do come with clear windows. the pictures are off of the side of the package. they have pics on the side of different cars and they usually look better than the real thing. i have 3 of them. they're pretty fast, but very cheaply made. great for mods. they're kinda hit & miss. ya never know if you're gonna get a decent one or not. i also don't like the rims.

Pojo 01-26-2003 05:58 PM

2nd and 3rd line, w00t!

Spanky 01-27-2003 04:44 PM

i was looking for those on yahoo shopping and found these

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/battstore/rcsupraccar.html

are those all different frequencys?

that must be a gimick

t-squared 01-27-2003 06:28 PM

they seem to have a bunch of wierd frequencies.....yet.....they say this

Quote:

Limited number of frequencies available for each car. Will fill order if frequency is available
I don't understand........probably read wrong.......

My friend has the white one with red flames. Not very fast, but can you say torque!! BTW, those are Zip Zaps. He got his from Radio Shack.

GTR, you got a 66 Mustang? So do I! Mine needs a restoration tho. 1966 Mustang Fastback. Neat car! Got mine for $300!

Stridex 01-27-2003 07:09 PM

Those are not ZipZaps. Radio Shacks have been known to sell clones. I ran into one that sold Shen's.

gtr2112 01-27-2003 07:11 PM

i wish!!! it's the car i've always wanted. you really lucked out for $300!! another $3000 and you'll be on the road. i want mine pearl white with saphire blue & white pony interior.

Yeah, and another $5000 after that and he'll pass emissions.

That car looks like it needs around $15000 in work to get it looking good again.

Spanky 01-27-2003 11:56 PM

emissions... comon.. cars that old usually dont have to pass emissions.. that is if your state has an emissions law. not all states do.

JTM 01-28-2003 12:03 AM

california (some of the toughest emission laws) doesnt require smog until 1974.. and even that will be going up soon. and no you cant tell whats wrogn with it in that picture, 15k you can build one from scratch, shocon i think you just like to be sour.

batesjm 01-28-2003 12:13 AM

Its not a first generation but its still nice as hell. Its a '93 and eats imports for breakfast. By the way I ended up beating the black car. He got a 3 second head start. Damn slow cars.

gtr2112 01-28-2003 12:29 AM

hey batesjm, nice stang. could you post a couple pics of that car side and back for me ? i'm trying to turn a honda accord into 1 but i don't have good enough pics to go by. that would be cool.

LilBitCharged 01-28-2003 12:37 AM

Just send me the bill!

gtr2112 01-28-2003 01:27 AM

wish i had a camera i'd show before and after pics. i'm using a super racing clone, white with red flames and a blower on the hood. i needed a hotrod, even if it is a cheap imitation.

batesjm 01-28-2003 01:32 AM

Sweet, Im not a big fan of imports so anytime i see someone sporting american muscle it makes me feel good.

Amen to that:) :)

Wrecks Inc 01-28-2003 10:05 AM

Hey guys..The mustang doesnt need as much work as you think..There is not a spot of rust on it, everything is there but the front sheetmetal and engine. Beleive it or not, but there are only a couple dings in the doors. Very easy to fix. I just bought a 65 Fastback parts car for a grand. Freshly rebuilt 302, everything there, just in peices. So, I would estimate about 2 grand to get it up and running again. Then another 500 or so for a paint job. It really isnt that bad. BTW, all my muscle cars came to me this way. How do you think a teenager affords them :p
