3.0 motor extremely cheap!

how much does that hot wheels kit racer parts pack cost and where can you buy it. if the car was $8 bucks the parts cant cost more. help me please!

isk8blind 01-24-2003 04:54 PM

uhhhhh

hotwheels k.i.t. racers cum with 2.6's the orange ones and if you use the 3.25:1 gearing you need like a 3.8

Namuna 01-24-2003 05:32 PM

as isk8blind said...

Hot Wheels KIT Racers are available in 2 motors...

- 2.2 (yellow bottom)
- 2.6 (orange bottom)

These 2 motors are Tomy motors (same thing you'd get in a Bit Char-G)

datamonster 01-24-2003 07:32 PM

in the KIT racer manual is says that there's a KIT parts pack that was supposed to come out in August of 2002 but i never saw it anywhere.

the parts pack probably never came out because the sales of the kit racers most likely wasn't high enough. its probably the main reason why targets put them on sale for so cheap, and now they don't have anymore.

Aaronmamo 01-24-2003 09:40 PM

I purchased a few KIT racers a couple weeks ago and they say that they make them in 2.2, 2.6, and 3.0. I am not sure where to get the 3.0 but the little brocure inside siad they had them. They might be in a hop-up kit or somthing. I will have to check it out.

gtr2112 01-24-2003 09:50 PM

shopko has the parts packs for $3.98. no motors though. they have gear sets, tires, wheelie bars and chasis set with batt.

Aaronmamo 01-24-2003 09:52 PM

I will have to grab one of my brocures and see if it has anything information on it and report back

shocon2k 01-24-2003 09:53 PM

The 3.0s are only available is upgrade sets for the KIT racers. It also says that in the brochure. Try reading it more closely.

Also, if you use the 3.43:1 gearing, a 3.8 is the LAST motor you would want to use to turn them. Maybe a 1.0 could use the 3.43:1 gearing, the 3.8 wouldn't have enough torque to use them.

NOS man 01-24-2003 10:08 PM

i know it says that in the brocure but how much is the parts pack and where do i get it?

sipsap 01-24-2003 10:12 PM

KITT racers were discontinued. thats why there so cheap. it would have been great.

dude if any of us on the forum knew where to get them, we would tell you. from the looks of it, none of us know where to get the "hop up package w/3.0 motor". so if we don't know where to get it, chances are we won't know the price either.

if you want a 3.0 so bad, just get one from TinyRC for $7.99. thats the only way your gonna find a 3.0, is either at stores or online, chances are very slim of finding one in a kit racer hop up kit.

just like what sipsap said about kit racers being discontinued. thats another reason why you won't find the hop up package with the 3.0 motor.

A word to the wise...

If you have a Target store near you and they still have some K.I.T. Racers left...

Buy all the orange motor packs that they have left!!!! NOW!!!! Whether or not they cost $1.98 each or $3.98 each.

I bought the last my Target had and I will have a few of the decent 2.6 motors for quite awhile.

Just the thing for those new MicroSizer Sports that come with the "little" motors :)
