My busted r-spec
ive had my r-spec for around a week and it ran fine yesterday but today it just wouldnt even turn the pinion gear by itself. to test to make sure it wasnt my car i put the stock 2.2 back in and it ran great. i am no way knocking the r-spec i just think i got a bad one cuz when it did work it was awesome.
i would be very sad if i didnt have a r-spec for a while:( i need to know if anyone has tiny's email and if he will replace it. and has anyone got broken motors replaced?? thanks in advance |
I would say, just go to the tinyrc customer support forum and post a message there. The site admins seem reasonable, and will probably resolve your problem.
Good Luck! |
thanks
can someone plz tell my tinyrc's email address so i can contact him and get my r-spec changed
Just go to his profile and send a message from there, ya gumby!
if you put a post in customer service he should get to you pretty quickly. Seems like every time, he gets ya fixed up.

Before you go shipping your Rspec back to Tiny, try adjusting the position in the motor well. It may be that the contact on the back of the motor isn't touching the plate. That happened to me a couple times and I thought my motors died, turned out they weren't getting power.
check all your batteries and if you have another bit char-g, try the motor in that car.
thanks again but i already repositioned the tab in the back of the motor and made sure it got power but that didnt help
yes mine has done the exact thing but strangely i pulled my 2.6out to see if it worked to(to see if the car was messed up)and that motor had 20times the torqe with about the same speed either i never noticed my motor sucked that bad considering my 2.6 beats it it has to be a dud cause with me yet again a week later it burns out

charge
I know it sounds dumb, but are you sure it is charged? Because when you let your mini car sit it needs to be recharged. I would hope that this is the case if not sorry lol
lol but im not that stupid actually. i charged the battery several times rotated it. tried to rebrake it in  . anyway tiny just emailed me saying he will gladly exchange it. what a great guy. he he:D

That's good to hear lol. What does a fairlady Z look like? you got any pix?
Fairlady Z is a 350Z. It's called "Fairlady Z" in japan.
ok sorry i just wrote what was on the box.
lol well, i just wondered what it was..lol

My R spec busted too. It ran fine the first 5 times, then it seemed like it had to "warm up" then it became very particular to the placement of the motor. I checked to make sure it wasn't the battery so i put my 2.2 back in and it ran fine. I tried to contact Tinyrc through his profile on Sunday and haven't recieved an email back.
Turns out that the motor isn't busted. I was getting ready to send it back so I wanted to check it again to make sure, and it ran. I had not messed with it in about a week. The problem was that the chassis was cracked where the heat sink clips in and it wasn't holding it down a much as it could of. I also bent the the metal surface that touches the end of the motor, which might of helped too. So to you that are pretty new to this too, the R spec seems to need a more solid connection than the stock Tomy motors because the 2.2 still worked fine with the cracked chassis.
