This is my future Lamborgini Diablo. I picked up about 12 Lexan bodies while I was on vacation. I just need to trim and paint them. Camaro's (Iroc, Z28), BMW, T-bird's, Ferrari's, Chevy Pick-up, Toyota Turbo, etc...
|
Nice. I think you're too addicted to these :D
|
very nice, whats the name of the cars in the bubbles in the top left??

WELCOME BACK
glad to see you back on the boards and hope you had fun on vacation i took your advice and did the pcb swap on my zip and you were right it is deffinatly more important than a dual batt for a first mod the boards havent been the same without you, now if azimov would show back up dont get me wrong there are still alot of good moders on the boards but few as inovativ as you |

Thanks, I'm trying to decide between buying a clone locally or a bit char-g off ebay.

|
They didn't have them. In fact the selection was pretty bad. I only picked up 12 and I planned on buying over 30. I'll get some pics up of the ones I'll be willing to sell. $6 - shipping included.
|
Ok..there better be a nicce body out of all those 12 :)

I'm almost done with my latest mod'd Zip. Once it's done, I'm going to start tinkering with those. I think my next pics will impress a few of you. I've put in way too many hours on it to make it just right. The steering is TRULY unique and works like a charm. It's precise and works on a slide rail. |

It doesn't look like much, but with the speed this thing has I had no choice but to make the steering as accurate as possible. The steering arm has a small hole drilled thru it where I inserted the rail guide. The rail guide just connects itself to the magnets. Between each magnet on the sides and the coil in the middle are small sheets of foam. Doesn't look attractive, but it's precise and handles great. The foam you see where the small centering spring used to be is left over from my first failed attempt and serves no purpose. This is the first car I can say is faster then my DigiQ. This car is straight as an arrow and turns like a dream. It does have a problem with flipping. Even without a body on. Normally only when I'm in reverse for a while and hit the left or right turn on the controller. |
i can just imagine.... if im correct the cannonballs do have the same idea rite.?.?.?
|
It's the MotorWorks from WalMart. They're made by the same company (Bensu), but the MotorWorks is their latest and has the dual magnets. With the dual batts, this is by far my favorite doner car. The Cannonball will also make a great donor, but has the two coils.
I have to warn people. This PCB swap was a B!#$%. Glueing strong magnets like that so close together was a chore. Getting one in was a snap....piece of cake. Getting the second one in and preventing it from jumping out of the tweezers onto the other one that is already in place was a mod in itself. NOTE: don't put the crazy glue on the second magnet. If you lose your grip, it'll try to glue itself to the first one. |
damn thats ALOT of micro rc's. i thought i had alot. :o
