Tiny Rc Carz ... Which is da best?
  I'm confused!
Ok, I wanna buy a "tiny rc", which one is a good one? I have been looking at the radioshack "zip-zaps" but i read some post as i heard they suck.. What about a microsizer? www.towerhobbies.com has one for 29.99 and i want the 9.99 3.8 motor... Is this the one to get? What do you all think is a good buy? I am asking for anyones help because i have a real regular 1/10 size rc car but i want the "microsizer" to fool around with... Please post back as soon as possible! Thanx all, ~ sLiCk www.eslick.ontheweb.com slickdawgz@yahoo.com |
welll hurry up and go to Target and get a Microsizer for $20 while its still on sale!!! :D
|
The microsizers are at target for $20!!! Really? Do they have parts too?
|
Yes they do sell microsizers at target but i think most of the stores are sold out, and to answer the topic question., Yes, microsizers and bit char-g's are the best, but there are also alot of good clones out there. Zip zaps are good, they dont "suck" thought. They are just not as good as MS/Bits. If i were you i would go with the microsizer or the bit. Hope that helps.
|
yup thx all that really helped
|
I went to target and k-b toys, and toyrus and EVERYTHING IS SOLD OUT! Anyone knopw anywhere online or off that would have microsizers cheaper than $30.00?
Ty to all who repond... ~slick |
Anyone?
|
Well then I dont know where to get one... This sucks... I wanted to buy some for christmas presents

WAIT WAIT WAIT
What's the difference between a bit char-g and a microsizer? |

We are the knights who say...Ne!
There is no difference between them actually. They are the exact same thing the ONLY difference is the packaging and the frequencies available for both. One says Microsizers and one says Bit Char-G. BCGs come in 4 different frequencies while Microsizers currently are only available in two. Another place you might try is www.cosmogames.com. They have a deal on where if you buy one Bit Char-G/Microsizer then you get the second one for half price. I've already purchased 4 from them and am very satisfied with their service. Anywho, hope this helps.

You make me glad that I did my Christmas shopping early. I just received 4 bits (Xanavi hiroto gt-r / Loctite Zexel gt-r / Pennzoil Zexel gt-r / Castrol nismo gt-r), 7 bullets (precious racers), and two Digi-Q combat tanks. I have spent the day putting them together, testing, modifying, and wrapping them. There is no doubt that the bits are the best. I did have one bad 2.6 motor in one of them. I changed it out with a 1.6 and all is well. You could try picking something up on Ebay, Minime-rc.com, or toyeast.com. It looks like Tiny is out of them right now. My mom always used to tell me that where there is a will, there is a way. I suppose it depends on how badly you want them. As for me, my Christmas shopping is done.

ty all this really helps...

I'd definitely go with the Auto Modellista set; you won't be dissapointed :p As for some info you need to know, here's my little guide I wrote up for another noob :
Ok man I guess i need to give you a big tutorial on bits, and bit buying. Any pros like payaso, tiny, or any of the other likely suspects can correct me if I'm wrong. I'll start with the basics: There are 3 kinds of official bits, the Tomy BitChar-G, Tomy CompactChar-G, and the Hobbico Microsizer. Everything else is a clone, even Radioshack Zip Zaps! All of the offical bits are pretty much exactly the same, except for frequencies, and special edition stuff, which the Microsizer end has not received yet. Each of the bits listed above has all of the bodies mentioned on the Hobbico Microsizers website, www.microsizers.com , minus the silver Toyota bB body, which is a United States exclusive. Tomy BitChar-Gs have 4 available frequencies, or "bands", 27mhz, 35mhz, 45mhz, and 57mhz. It doesn't matter which you choose, they are all pretty much the same. Mods can be made to your car and controller to increase the range of your car. Tomy CompactChar-Gs and BitChar-Gs have some special edition car sets, most of which are derived from Japanese hit cartoons or games. You can view these sets either at the official Tomy website, www.tomy.co.jp , or a place where you can buy them, www.toyeast.com . Tomy CompactChar-Gs have all of the same frequencies as BitChar-Gs, except that the "CCG", the Australian version of the BitChar-G, has another available band, 40mhz. Hobbico Microsizers are the North American version of Tomy's BitChar-Gs. As mentioned before, they have all the same bodies and hop-ups, etc. that Tomy has, except for a couple of differences. Hobbico only offers 2.2 (the stock Microsizer engine) engines, and 2.6 engines. Some say that these engines are faster than the Tomy versions. The other difference is due to North American regulations. The only 2 frequencies available for Microsizers are 27mhz, and 59mhz (not a typo, just a north american band). Clones tend to make fantastic beginner cars, as they tend to be cheap, yet they are still upgradeble. The only real cons with clones is a lack of quality, and frequent compatibility issues with Tomy and Hobbico products. Clones also have a habit of breaking down easily. Most people will agree with me when I say that int he long run, choosing a Hobbico or Tomy product is much more worthy of your time and money. I guarantee that an official bit will last much longer than a clone. However, because of their cheap prices, clones make excellent guinea pigs. Go wild! As for advice on what you should buy, If you have a low budget, then go ahead, buy some clones, and have a party with your friends! Just make sure they are all different frequencies, and are no more than $20cdn. If you are looking at bits as a serious hobby, which your simple interest may turn into, then consider turning your wallet to www.toyeast.com . They have excellent prices, and you can get a special edition Tomy Skyline for about $53cdn shipped! Anyways, maybe tiny or anyone else can use this post as a guide of somesort...who knows! The bottom line when getting involved with these things is : :D HAVE FUN!!! :D |
TYVM!!!
Is the 3.8 motor a "bit" (lol) too much for a beginner? |
Hah..no problem :) As for the 3.8, go for it; after you've gotten used to your stock engine, pop in the big boy!
|
ok kool thx,
what is the best out right now? motor? battery? |
 You want what I think is the best for each category?
|
yes
please |
Hehe sorry for no reply I was busy with a program that made me feel high :D
Axel Gears-Teal 8:25:1 for speed Tires-Soft on the back, for acceleration, Hard on the front for grip Engine-3.8 for best top speed, DKS 3.4 for best all-around engine Suspension-Either get no bar at all, or spring suspension :) I also wouldn't use the drift axle that comes with the susp. kit, because all it makes you do is donuts  Battery-NiMh 150mah all the way! Frequency-27mhz (it's a classic!), and 57mhz (my first car...so reliable...) I would also suggest removing the cripple capicitator on your car, if you have one. What the heck is that? www.questformadness.com Anymore questions? |
nope
ty for all your help c ya all lata __________________________________________________ __ www.eslick.omtheweb.com |

POJO57,
Did you say hard tires in the front for grip? I am new to micro RC. I figured softer tires in the front would provide better "bite". I am on hardwood floors though and my car flies all over the place when I put the hard compound on front. I do find I can corner smoother with a small amount of front end slip. RIP |
hope you find your MS:) But At this point in time if you order from an overseas dealer like "toyeast", it is unlikely you'll get it before christmas. You might want to try a domestic dealer and verify with them if how many days till you get them. But we'll never know, toyeast might come through.
|
Guh I did write a nice long explanation for tires, but the stupid thing didnt let me log in...I've tried all the combonations, and I find that soft on the back, hard on the front, or vice versa works best.
|
i agree with the soft back hard front idea
do you think that if i order from toyeast on tuesday it will be here by new years? |
?
|
I'd say yes!
|
aight ty
|
What about Z-cars? They are good right?
|
I Really never seen one...lol
What do all you guys think?:bdrop: |
My brother has that clone, it is good. Good range, driven it in snow, water, carpet, off tables. Npthing wrong yet. Only problem is that it turns to the left a lot more than the right.

~bump~
