So that's why the lady kept trying to sell me batteries when i bought my zipzap.......

I would imagine that eventually, a radio shack might not get resupplied because not everyone buys batteries from them.

VERTiG0 12-13-2002 08:48 AM

Can someone explain why they do that?

hogjowlz 12-13-2002 09:25 AM

more than likely the zipzaps dont turn a lot of profit for them. they use products like them to get you into the store and buy a bunch of little thinks like batteries, antennas and magnets which are where they make their profit.

bikeshops electronics stores and grocery stores do the same thing.

you would think

you would think that with as meny as thay sold that thay would make a big profit from hell

i have already picked up 6 zipzaps for myself(and xmas gifts) and had to buy the WORST rat shack batteries. Do Not Use them in a race. the range sucks and its a weaker signal. my buddy with duracell (however you make a trademark symbol) kicked ass all over the track but i had to chase my zip around...
the batteries they sold me are good for low power constzant running electronics (like a PDA) but the duracell seemed to give more power and kick the range up.

airline2 12-13-2002 02:27 PM

what type od duracell are they

naturecured 12-13-2002 02:46 PM

any duracell, they were just better than what i got at the shack

airline2 12-13-2002 02:48 PM

thank you very much

naturecured 12-13-2002 10:51 PM

you are very welcome

Are you using the metalic golden batteries, or the "plus" types?

I've had good luck using the plus batteries in my ZZ.

naturecured 12-14-2002 01:46 AM

either, i havent gone far enough to test different duracells

Moto freak 12-14-2002 11:57 AM

what about rechargeable AAA batteries

naturecured 12-14-2002 02:02 PM

i understand that rechargables just dont last as long. i also found a friend had gotten last year for xmas a battery charger that recharges all alkaline batteries! yep all the duracells he uses he can recharge when empty!

airline2 12-15-2002 04:53 PM

duracells work the best to me so far
