Atomic Z-Cars
Just got these in:
http://tinyrc.com/shop/products.php?pid=10 They are like BC-Gs except the body is slightly shorter at the front. However, they have a few advantages:
 |

Here's a pic, since we haven't had a chance to add them to the Shop yet:

Looks like crap, can the "power pack" or whatever work for my bit?

Any word on how good the motors or other parts are and if they will be available here?
|
tifosi_ms1, they are already available, as part of the Power Pack:
http://tinyrc.com/shop/products.php?pid=10 They seem very good in our tests. Frankly this car seems like it's basically a BC-G with a lot of the bugs fixed, some cool upgrades, and the front lopped off to prevent it being exactly the same as the BC-G (this is easily fixed using the Universal Body Adapter, which turns it into a full-length BC-G!!). :) Personally I love the clear chassis and 100mAH cell, and that LED is giving me a ton of ideas for projects that could use that power source! :D |
I have a z car and it ran pretty good but now it stutters while running. I dont know whats wrong with it but anyway I am glad tiny is selling parts I've been looking for parts for a while, all the stores around here just sell the cars
|
same FCC freq? i just hate the fact that im only limmited to to freq i got 27 zz so i got to be choosy when it comes to the other freq
|
hmm yeah thats true....no fun with JUST 2 people...
or else you have to do time trials haha |
That's great tiny.... The black CLK is pimp for sure.

Are you gonna post pictures in the shop Tiny?
|
I dig these cars, i got one for my G/F and swapped in my ZZ parts and it smokes all the cars in the house, and the LED is cool too.

By far the fastest car I've pulled out of the box. These little things rock.

my cousin bought one of those. the pod thing is really nice. his car had a little problem with steering but other than that it seems to be a good car. the car has a led on top so it glows when it runs. i can pick them up for 20$ at the toy store down the street.

The Atomic Z Cars are very good. Excellent for the price, and the mod parts are interchangable with Bits. They even have an "adaptor" with the gearing/motor sets (2.6 and 3.0 V motors) that let you use bit bodies. They come with a 100mah NiMH battery. I've had very little problems with them, no more than a bit, and a lot less worry than with most clones. The pod/controller/display fits in your pocket nicely. Good addition TinyRC!

And they make great mods!
Here's my 3 cell Atomic Z funny car.. http://12.31.176.173/rc/images/threecell.jpg It hauls bc12m bc12m bc12m |
yeah...i bet it does...I am guessing it flips just about as much:D
|
chp: awesome! bc36m
|
thanks TinyRC!
cowfish_29, Sure it does! Just like a 'real' funny car! When you need to maneuver you learn the right amount of "ease off into the curve, then power out of the curve" balance. That's what makes it fun! It amuses me to be different :p |
But if you want use a 3 cell mod and a body that doesn't flip on full power Cowfish_29, check this one: http://www.tinyrc.com/forums/showthr...&threadid=3724

MOTORS
are motors changeable with Bit char g and microsizers???
|
AUDI-TT: I have a 3.0 Bit CharG in mine. works fine. You may have to rotate the motor to find the most solid connection because Tomy's motors have a comparatively small electrical connection tab. I prefer the zipzap motor though, it seems to have much a better torque:speed ratio. The 2.6V Atomic is pretty good. The 3.0 is pretty much the same as the Bit CharG's 3.0V.. good speed, but low torque.

the Z car only comes as a Benz?
no fun |
COOL!! About time!! I've had one of these for a couple of months. My brother and I found 'em in a Discovery Zone and these little cars rock! The Discovery Zone doesn't have any in stock any more, but my local hobby shop started carrying 'em and all the hop ups! I upgraded to the 2.6v motor and gearing and I bought a clone from Wal-Mart that had an all clear body and it fit on the Z-car after I drilled a small hole in the Z-car's front frame so that the body would screw on. The steering on mine is great, it tracks straight and runs well.
