m-chassis parts at tinyrc?
is that a possibilty.. cuz at all my lhs's they dont have jack parts for the m-chassis. i think its a shame. they dont even have bodies. grr.. anyone happen to know what other aluminum parts they make for these badboys?
emonator, we can look into it - are you mainly interested in Tamiya or third party parts?

Rar!!! GPM do some tasty kit, just like there do for the Z's
thats fantastic! but i have an m01/m02.. boo.. but maybe they still fit hey?? hopefully.. im looking at those knuckles and the aluminum shaft/dogbones setup.. hmm.. i wonder if that heatsink would work, wouldnt mind having two heat sinks. but then to answer the first question, i guess third parties.. unless you can show me a pic of what tamiya has to offer? man.. its about time someone get hop ups for m.

grr. i think the tl01 and the m03 have the same size parts.. however, this is not true with the earlier m's. i think gpm offers these m03 parts cuz they already make the parts for the tl01. however, i saw a picture of a tb01 front knuckle... and that looks abotu the size of the m01 front knuckle.. who knows.. any tamiya heads around here?
Yes I can help:D
Yes alot of the M parts (almost all except chassis parts) are interchangable with older M's, like suspension shocks, wheels, bearings, dog bones, diffs...infact I think the diff taht tamiya recomends for the M (manta diff) fits like every car, so... Tiny R/C if you're able to get the GPM shocks I'm definatly interested. I think that GPM only sells them in pairs can you confirm this? or do they also sell in sets of four? Not clear on how GPM works.....:) |
my frint linked me to a site where they sold some m-chassis parts. id rather purchase parts from tinyrc.com. atleast now i know they make parts for the older m's, yeh! its whack how they have the 60 dollar set for the m03 and not for the m01/m02.. check it out

i was wondering if anyone could help me out.. as you may know, i drive an m01 chassis car with a 210 mm wheel base. i was wondering if theres anyway i can extend this in anyother way by not buying a chassis extender (cant find one for my car.) i heard that you can just buy some chassis part.. perhaps from the a-tree of the m02L.. that would extend the chassis to 225 mm.. its that part thats opposite of the motor/gear box casing. i hear that part that is longer that makes the m02L longer? if so.. is it 225 mm? if it is.. could tinyrc get this part? haha. sorry to ask so much.
XE:) |
sorry to post so much on this forum, but i gotta keep it alive! well at any rate, im looking for a part. none of my lhs have them, and i doubt theyll order them for me. im looking for tamiya part #50716 its the m-medium chassis a parts tree. if tinyrc could help me out, itd be super fantastic, if not, thats cool too. uhh.. what up fellow m-chassis killers?
http://www.integy.com/ has some nice parts for the tamiya series. I have some on mine.

hi tinyrc, i was wondering if those parts ever came in? let me know. thanks
emonator, one is on the way, the other on backorder. Email us!
badnew. my graphite chassis of my m01 kinda got smashed. but no fear, im purchasing the stock one from some dude and he's including the m-medium A parts tree. at any rate, whats the deal with those GPM parts? oh yeah, i bought a rolling m03 chassis. hahahaa. so now im up to date. its all stock, but i threw my bearing from my m01 onto there so its quite smooth. also considering purchasing those m03 parts from eagle through tinyrc.. whats up with those m01 parts btw? i enver got an email response. at anyrate, perhaps i can get a price list on the gpm parts so maybe i can get in on the 100 bucks free shipping deal? oh yeah, can someone post a pic of the m03 chassis body posts along with the antenna straw? i think the dude i got my chassis from has the wrong ones, i cant find where to put the antenna..
emonator, the shipment arrived today - remember how I said one part was on backorder, the other was on its way? Well, niether arrived, instead the invoice said both are on backorder even though they said they were in stock when we placed the order...
hmm.. so when should i expect the backorder to come in?
Email us and we'll discuss.

Here you go |
I'd be interested in hop up chassis for the m-series.
I remember a few years back there were tons of crazy after market parts for the m-series from Japan. Don't know if that's still the case. Does anybody know of good internet sources for aftermarket m-series parts. I WANT A 4WD M-03!!! |
A 4wd M03 would be very cool. But it would be almost quite impossible .The rear out drives would be easy get the Get a front end 4wd diff and drill the holes in the rear of the chassis to take flanged bearing that will fit over the out drive shaft. Now the hard part it would have to be a two belt drive system .you could run a s gear out the side of the motor .down to a another gear with a shaft to that has gear that fit inside just in front of the were the body is bolted together. Then a belt to the diff. Sound like a lot of work to me  Plus I like the way the rear end slides around like most cars with front wheel drive.More true to life there really is not many 4wd car out there.I have not seen a 4wd Ford Focus,Hyundai Excel yet except on the WRC.
since my graphite chassis from my m01 broke recently, i was thinking of using whats left to make a 2 motor 4wd m03/m02 combination. what i was gonna do is use the only front half where the gear box is and not use the second half of the m03. i was gonna then cut my chassis short from the m01 and use the aluminum chassis posts. these fit nicely into the grooves of the front of the m03 chassis. thus, by connecting the front end of the m03 to the m01 gear case, i could create a 4wd dual motor m0emonator. the problem that arrises is was similar to having a dual motor m01/m02 combination. you would have to use a reverse rotation motor because the motor mounts differently. all in all, i think the dual motor would be easier to put together than the belt driven way. perhaps ill continue this project. there is an express mini up for auction on ebay i believe. im still considering the hpi mini. that looks nice, but they always go for about 150. once i have that to burn, ok.

You need to be careful with those GPM parts. They don`t always fix correctly or last long. I used GPM parts for awhile now and after a short while the fail.:(

Usagi said:"Friends don`t let friends buy HPI Micro rs4`s"
That's why I own a BRP super 18 car. Thanks for the tip on the aluminum parts for the M03.That why I decide to stick with stock Tamiya parts I can buy the whole suspension parts tree from Hobby people for $10.00 :D Plus Tamiya is just a fun car heck today I hit a pole on the basket ball court today at full speed. What happened was the screws popped out of the front body mounts and one screw popped out of the bottom right front shock mount.I screwed it back together works great you can't beat that:D |
m chassis bodies
anyway tinyrc can get bodies from a company called "carson" i think theyre in germany. man, they make a WHOLE BUTTLOAD OF GREAT BODIES for the tamiya.. check out www.ebay.de and type in tamiya m chassis or m chassis and see what pops up. the greatest things in the world..

Thanks, |
i personally like the scirocco. vws are cool. i hope to get the vw gti body when tower gets them in...
I sent a Email to Tamiya to sugest they make two new M03 bodies. The two car bodies I asked them make is the Honda CRX this car is more popular than the rover MINI ever was.
The other is the the Citeron Saxo rally car that Danny Sola drives in 1600 WRC junior class.Tamiya USA liked the idea is passing the idea on to Tamiya in Japan |

maybe you should start some kinda petition? show all the interest in it. im certainly interested in a crx body. actually, any body that would fit cuz theyre so hard to come by. just recently i bought a 1/12 55 chevy. i dont really like bolink bodies. but hey, whatever fits.
I really think the Honda CRX is a car that Tamiya will make it such a popular car in the world. You see them every where still all fixed up for racing.Hell i am thinking of buying a one of the last models with the low fuel consumption engine for my car you can't beat 48 miles to the gallon:D
