3.0 Motor
 

hey! i need help on installing a new 3.0 motor i got, i was wondering if there was a step by step guide on the net somewere, a link would be greatly appriciated!!

Neon_Skylineboy, it's very easy, if you're planning on using your existing gears, just pop off the motor plate, and then pluck out the old motor. Pull the gear carefully from the old motor, and then put it on the new motor - depending on what type of BC-G you have, you may find that your Tx has a hole in that back, and you can push the motor into this gear-end first to perfectly set the position of the gear. If you don't have this, then just push it on most of the way but not all of the way, and check the mesh when you put it back in the car. Pop the plate back on, and you're all set. A warning about the 3.0s, they are notoriously flaky and have been know to die after only a few runs, or even ship dead. I would recommend a 2.6 personally, as they are more controllable and far more reliable.

Notorious is right. I bought two and neither of them work now. TERRIBLE! AWFUL! JUNK!!!!

But you get the picture. I've reinstalled the 2.6 on my Loctite Zexel and it runs much better.

that sucks! mine works this thing is crazy fast!! im only gonna need it once for a drag with my brother (he doesn't know i have!!) he bet me $10 that his OEM Bullet Benz is faster!!

you should put some NOS on that baby. then you'll really spank that bullet:D

exactly, you could even use real NOS if it was in a very very small bottle, and it sprayed out the back of the car producing trust:D

dude, what u smoking shooting a extremly cold gas out of a little tube is not gonna make the car go faster... just give it up already, but i like Tiny RC's idea though

ok i give up. it is still possible though, have you never sat in a rolly chair and sprayed a fire extinguisher? same thing only on a smaller scale;)

D00d u stupid people... LoL. Instead of a small little expensive NOS bottle... Get a small C02 bottle and it will really send ur car flying. ;)

do u know how many thing it would take for this to work?? besides whats the point... u might as well attach Co2 to a peice of wood and wheels :rolleyes:

Just prolly glue and thats it. Glue it in the rear window and it will fly high. LoL.. Besides I was only comparing to a NOS bottle and saying that this will prolly work better. Chill man. ;)

a double battery and a booster huh huh huh that sounds nice to me with a 3.6 and teal gears oh but proly only get 1 run outs that motor :( he he it would be cool to watch tho

My friend and I both bought Bit Char-G as the same time... he hopped his car up to a 2.6 motor... i on the other hand went a lil nuts... 3.8! but he didnt know.. we raced and well... lets say he doesnt want to anymore. =P
