WTF u guys post the oobviously photoshopped cars w/o hassel. some of the cars arent even models... u guys need to seriosuly learnd to opperate a website. your all messed up! i demand my pic be examined by some1 over the age of 12 and actually knows the function of nitrous, away form the fact that it makes ur hood shoot smoke and flame out ur exhaust!

one pist modder, MIKE

-- so who else has been rejected or is just fed up with the nonsence

inott40 01-19-2005 08:43 PM

You would know? ;) Just kidding... They still get the message, and know who its from...

SHIFT_DRIFT 01-20-2005 08:07 PM

Post the pic you're trying to submit here and we may know why...

HammerZ 01-21-2005 04:08 PM

I just came from over there and saw one thread harping about Mini Z's being posted on the rate a mod section. Did you have any questionable graphics? or anything of that nature?

Here's the car in question. Sorry, I'd reject it too.

Nitrous does NOT make flames come out of your exaust, all nitrous does is cool the air down dramatically as it enters the engine, this makes more power as it is cooler, the smoke is actually the nitrous vapors that would cause your engine to explode if they were to enter it such as at idle

RacinSkillZ101 01-24-2005 10:26 PM

yes mastermite i know...

if you read my email it implying that i want my car examined by some1 who actually knows what nitrous dose...

(time to show off) nitrous or No2 is an oxygenator which means it adds o2 or oxygen to ur engine. with more oxygen available, the correct amount of fuel is added for a larger reaction in which causes a bigger combustion or boom and thus more power. the result is left over nitrogen vapors (the fumes u mentioned) and are highly flamable, which is why putting a spark plug on the tip of a exhaust system w/o a cat will cause flames (the cat would absorb the flamable chemicles.. its is what it dose to protect our enviorment {im not a tree hugger btw})

the reason u see amatures blowing their engine is cause they add too much No2 and it causes knocking (too much air/ not enough fuel, in which the explosion is too hot and melts ur pistons ect.) or they add to much No2 and fuel and the explosion is too much for the engine, like runnin a turbo w/ 35lbs of boost on a stock engine.. somethings gunna give

also activating No2 too early is bad, which is why u blow ur engine at idle or at any rpm below 4000 (not sure on actual rpm) that is cause the power generated is pushin parts to go faster but they dont wanna, and thus they break.. but like mastermite said the left over nitrogen vapors are to blame, even the great 2JZGTE died on a dyno when it was sprayed at 3500rpm.. if he only placed a rpm safety

so thats nitrous 101...
-sorry for ranting but some1s gotta clear it up sooner or later

Murcielago659 01-25-2005 12:22 AM

Nitrogen is NOT FLAMMABLE. It is an inert gas, which means that it does not react to anything. Not fire, not temperature, and not any other chemical.

When nitrous oxide is injected into a running engine, the heat of the combustion causes the nitrous oxide molecules to split into two nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. This extra oxygen (which is extremely flammable), when mixed with additional fuel, causes a hotter combustion cycle. The two nitrogen atoms go out with the exhaust, totally unburnt. The flames that are associated with nitrous have nothing to do with it at all. They usually happen because you suddenly let off the throttle, which turns off the nitrous instantly, but not the extra fuel, which will still be injected into the engine for a split second. This extra fuel causes a sudden rich condition and sends a lot of raw fuel into the hot exhaust, which then ignites, causing a flame to shoot out of the exhaust.

ChenPokoMasteR 01-25-2005 10:53 AM

Yeah, what he said :D

RacinSkillZ101 01-25-2005 09:58 PM

yup Murcielago659 ur right bout the whole thing (which is y i said an oxygenator) if memory serves propane can be added to ur fuel (like nitrous is added) and that adds more fuel to the combustion.

in autos we learned how leaed fuel has a high octane (resistance to knocking, useful for high boost/ nitrous applicatinos) and was cheaper than current gas... what im trying to do is locate a leaded gasoline source.. and to the tree huggers, screw the enviorment its damned weather i pollute or not :)

and finally with the whole flame and exhaust thingy, i honetly would install nitrous or an agressive cam to acheive flame, but if they occur thats fine

Murcielago659 01-25-2005 11:23 PM

Or you could get a Mazda Rotary powered vehicle and remove the cats and install straight thru mufflers. :D
