LED Tailpipes!!!
to give it a "NOS-ish feel", I'm gonna Drill out the pipes and install taillights into it. Any advice?
|
yah heres some advice. dont waste your time. i'm sorry but that as got to be one of the lamest most ricy things you can ever do to a car.
|
WTF is a "NOS-ish feel"??? You people need to stop watching Fast and the Furious over and over.
|
You stupid flamers, NOS doesn't make flames come out of your exhast, so stop fackin calling it a NOS exhaust.
|
hey man I did it with a red led and it look sick. pics soon to come

poser.... NOS!!!

Poser... NX!!

People people people. Both of yall are right and wrong. yes you can use nitrious oxide (not NOS because that is the system) to shoot flames out of the back of your car. I've done it. i set up my friends supra so that it would split the direct port injection from the NOS to the tailpipes then it would spray a thin spray out when activated. this way it doesnt use alot of nitrious. to ignite the nitrious, i used a electric flint kit and wired it to the car's battery. now putting a red led in the back of ure tail pipes is by far the ...est thing you can do to your car. why not use the leds to create an engine neon kit or sumthin. there are unlimited things you can do to your car, just think about it. bbgtr rules!

omg i think you have made the most intelligent first post i have ever seen. thank you for showing me that there are smart people out there.

no probemo
well its not technicly my first. i just forgot my other username and password and dont know what email i had on it. i had over 400 posts on my last one, so im not a noob by any means. and actually the only reason i know stuff like that is cause i build REAL cars in REAL life and i also build minis but when kids play video games and watch movies all the time they dont understand that there are more things in the world than what the designers of the games or movies put in them. it takes 2-3 years to build those games and by the time they come out there are things that are highly superior to whats in the games. take need for speed underground 2 for example. great game, but even though it has updated things like the 2005 mustang, which was added within the last month of the design period, it still doesnt employ things like shaved door handles and actual car physics like the games that are expected to come out in 2005 or 6. all i'm sayin is kids that are tryin to make cars like their favorite movie car, thats fine, but if your trying to actualy be in the movie, go to driving school and push yourself to become that movie star racer. thanks for readin.bbgtr rules! :btc: :bdrop: :bfibr: b38 b3spd

why is it lame to put leds in your exhaust??? i wanna do that, cause i thought it be cool to have the tail lights light up when you lef off the gas (like a real car with an agressive camshaft) and flames out the exhaust are possible... ive seen supra that run high boost and have a 272 exhaust came shoot flams when you back off the throttle (coolest thing ever)
|
lame.....kinda
well its lame cause its just a constant light. if there were some way to make it flicker on and off when you released the throttle then it wouldnt be lame but if its just on all the time thats lame. the only way to do that is to hook some kinda switch up to it and hook the switch to the positive battery port. but then it would come on when u pushed the throttle, just like brake lights. there are probly some special made leds out there that will turn on and off just once when u put power to them but im not sure where to find them. anyone wanna submit a reply to where u could find 1?
|
if they have a light kit they kould try spicing it to the headlights, thatll sorta do wat ur talking about
|
well
ya but that would make it turn on and off depending on if you have throttle on or off. it would stay on when u pushed go. what we want is one that would go one then turn right back off when you let go of the throttle to create a blastback effect, like when a highly tuned or mod'd car like the viper gts-r prototype switches gears.
|
Just wire it to the motor, not sure if thats too much power, but if not, it will work great ( i hope ) :D

Nitrous Oxide is NON FLAMABLE....its COMBUSTABLE so how exactly did you rig up your n20 flame with flint out of your friends tail pipe.. please tell me??? I call BS. I;ve seen tailpipe kits that use FUEL and a flint/light to ignite the fuel... but not Nitrious.....lol |
dry nitrious. dry nitrious is combustable but wet nitrious, when fine enough of a spray can cause a flame up, and is the reason for a bluish green color in the flame.
|
all nitrous is DRY... nitrous is mixed with FUEL..is thus WET
I see now why it ignited, because of the fuel. |

This is what i meant about cutting edge. I guess none of yall are really "technical" people. Venom has made a mixed n2o package that connects right up to a resevior of 88 octane that gets pulled outta your fuel when u turn ure car on. this allows continues fuel flow to the nitrous oxide and allows you to create a back blast of fire that you can adjust from 2 ft to 20 ft. this is one of the most powerful flamers i have ever set up. it only needs a tiny bit of fuel to start the fire then if u ad nitrious it will combust.
|
well im sory it wasnt a real supra it was a kit car and it wasnt mine it was my friends so dont go complainin to me k?
|
thats good to hear
I own a supra, so i was a little worried to hear of someone adding that to their nice sports car. |
im not runnin my mouth it was the same specs as a supra same type of engine and all but it wasnt authentic. and thanks for callin the super a sports car and not an import cause theres no way in hell that was thought up by foriegn minds it had to be modeled here in the good ole US of A
|
well.. it is a Japan built car....
it is a import.... arguably the best built sports car ever mass produced. but I see your point... its not really a "rice burner" |
i agree with u with the integra, but the accord and civic are not good enough to be called american thought cars.
|
I wouldnt talk like american design is something to be proud of.....
they are years behind foreign engineering gm is just now using varible valve timing. thats something honda and toyota have been using for years. thats only a very simple and basic example |
i agree with you all but, if you are a true car fanatic you know that nothing beats american muscle, no matter how beefed up that 4 cyl is it cant purr like a lion. now there are a few japanese cars that are strong enough, coming back to the supra and skylines. they are the two ultimate imports, you have to admit it. bbgtr is by far king of all imports

I'm done spiting out facts for you, all you seem to type is just unproven CACA of information. |
caca? seriously...caca....ok whatever im not going to even bother just go back to your daycare where you belong
|
You know, RX-7s don't have cylinders. They don't have pistons, cams, or any of that other stuff you have in your skyline or supra. They have rotary engines in them. Before you ask what the hell a rotary engine is, use google and search for "wankel rotary engine". Lots of information there.
|
i agree the rotarys in the rx-7 and 8s are nice but can you program those for different settings? can you bore out the pistons and upgrade the cams to give you more power? no and thats the beauty of a v engine

im sorry im not being "pratical" but a rotary engine and a v engine are not the same, no matter how "pratical" you are. now i never said anything bad about the rotary but i still think i like the v better and i am entitled to my opinion, so back off. i have nothing against rx-7s or imports or even domestic street rockets but i still like sittin in an old 68' dodge charger with a 426 under the hood and being able to feel the rumble through the seats, and a rotary cant give you that kind of feel, no matter how finely tuned it is. now before you post, notice i said NOTHING about how fast a rotary is and i know they can get faster than muscle but i am not concerned with speed, i am concerned with feel.
|
ive driven both the rx-8(my friends) and rx-7(used to own) and i understand where you are coming from, but still it doesnt vibrate it hums, and after about 2 years of the huming i got annoyed so i traded it for a challenger that was kinda beat down but still had matching numbers. i am now in the process of makin it a beautiful showcar and i have already rebuilt the engine, and i have to say its the sweetest i have ever heard an engine. dyno tested it at 808.4 hp and 635.7lb-ft torque. i got some custom built covers for the cam and custom headers that have hellcat lasered into them. i am a big fan of imports but i cant stray from my muscle car roots.
|
by the way what kinda truck does your bro have?
|
Quote:
first you make comments about changing settings on a rx7 and asking if you can upgrade it, then you said you owned one? what gives?? The BEST part is your engine dyno numbers, lol.... Why does your muscle car have such a high HP and low torque? answer me that.... I'd love to hear the reasoning. you contradict yourself pretty much ever since you claimed you installed a NOS-FLAME KIT on a supra. I'm not trying to attack you, but just settle down with the posts saying things you claim to know, when you didnt... know what I mean? but tell me about your dyno, why the lower torque to HP ratio? |
dude i know where your coming form. my first car was a 78' monty carlo with full exaust and cams, super lumpy, and monstrous sound. but with the post you are makeing i doubt that you have ever sat in or even heard a ported rotary. i have heard a ported rotary that was lumpy and sounded like a beast. not a bumble bee like yours was.
