Monster Truck and Motorcycles!

Did anyone see those monster trucks and OCC choppers in the fullyloaded series? The trucks are AWD and have full suspension! They rock. The cycles look strange but I don't know how they drive

So does anyone know when the trucks will hit the stores??
I have seen the motorcycles but i want the trucks.

Namuna 12-01-2004 09:11 PM

I have to admit, that Superslick Monster's got me interested.

Racer9 12-03-2004 03:44 PM

I want it too. i wish i knew when it was coming out.

Loganberry 12-06-2004 07:12 PM

yeah i seen the bikes when i went for my ssfl subaru. they looked cool, but i dont thing id want one. i didnt see the mt. i wanna either maybe get that or the zip zap mt, but since the ss are so much better than the zz's i might get the superslick mt , whenever that comes out.

Racer9 12-07-2004 03:33 PM

I got the ZZ MT on Saturday and it is awesome. I am sure that the SS one will be better as long as it has good tires and lots of power

slugbugg 12-07-2004 07:45 PM

I check around at local TOYS-R-US about every 3 days or so and havnt seen any sign of the SS monster trucks yet, but I will buy 1 or 2 as soon as I see them.

sporttracguy 01-16-2005 10:04 PM

how much are these?????? do they use the same motors as the normal super slicks or do they have something with more torque?

Thanks
Sporttracguy

I dont know the price since I have never seen one (SSmt) in the stores yet, but I think they would be around $25 bucks or less.

Actually I'm begining to doubt the trucks will ever be released since I havnt seen any more info on them since the picture on the SS web site 2 months ago.The motorcycles are in the stores but no trucks yet.

If anyone has a SSmt please post pictures so we can check it out in more detail.

All the toys-r-us stores (4) near me have gobs of SS's(old & new) but no trucks.

Loganberry 01-17-2005 08:35 AM

on another forum they said they might be coming out in march. i dont know why they had the truck on their site for like half a year before they were coming out. later

I just bought one of the choppers just to try one out. The performance and handling is not that bad. They are a little larger than the superslick cars. I tried one with both an original and SS FL transmitter and neither worked. Only the transmitter that came with the chopper worked even though it looks the same as the original superslick controller. The choppers are available on 27 and 49 mhz with no channel switch like the SS FL. That means that only two can run together at the same time like the original superslicks ( I assume). The interesting thing about the choppers is that the rear suspension works and they appear to have a multi-step (I counted 3) speed control with no reverse of course. The chopper comes with the green motor/green pinion gear combo.

The optional tuner kit comes with green pinion gear/orange motor combo, front wheel, front fender, replacement belt, gas tank and seat/rear fender. The tuner kit is available in several colors. By the way, the "foot pegs" are used to keep the chopper upright when it is not running forward. Unlike some toy rc motorcycles, the chopper only moves forward when the transmitter trigger is pulled on the controller and coasts to a stop when the trigger is realeased. Some toy cycles are always running forward and you only have steering control.

I personally prefer real sportbikes over choppers so I may try to modify one of these and shorten the front fork to make it look sportier.

It's slow, and you gotta lock the center diff, otherwise it sucks offroad. I ripped out the electronics last night and just ordered Iwaver electronics. I also will be picking up an HS55 servo, as it easily fits.

xxxmod 03-21-2005 03:45 PM

viper did you ever put a iwaver board in a xmod.

Nope, why?

Racer9 03-27-2005 05:33 PM

Are they at TRU? How do you lock the diff? Is the motor swappable? Is it anywhere near as good as the ZZ MT?

It looks like the suspension is wicked though. It actually compresses easily unlike the ZZ MT. :D

Yes, the diff's locked by dripping super glue into it, yes, and it's better than a ZZMT with a locked diff.

how does the wheels go on and do you think you could put mini z monster wheels on it.

Thanks

Thanks

The wheels go on a really bad way: they snap on. Yep, no lugs. I'm thinking about gluing the front ones on then attaching with a screw (the hubs are attached that way).

xt600 04-03-2005 05:38 AM

Have you had any problems with the gears or u-joints stripping since you glued the diff?
I just tried stretching the diff spring, but it wasn't much of an improvement.
Also, could you tell me where you get an iwaver board, how much they are and what I need for a transmitter?

xxxmod 04-03-2005 09:46 AM

xt600 go to www.toyeast.com.i bought the iwaver 02 it comes with a 10 car am narrow band futaba.the car is a mini z 02 but the plastic is thiner but it's faster only cost me 80.00 shipped

viperdout 04-03-2005 12:37 PM

XT600, I have had no problems with stripping u joints at all.

xt600 04-03-2005 09:39 PM

xxxmod, thanks for the info, will definately check that out and viperdout, I guess it's time for me to get supergluing my diff, thanks man.

xxxmod 04-03-2005 10:50 PM

your welcome, and the controller is awsome

Jazz32 02-12-2006 02:45 AM

The motorcycles suck. While they can get some decent speed with a blue motor, not having reverse makes it really frustrating to drive. Hit a wall and you have to walk over and turn it around. I understand really motorcycles don't have reverse, but these RC bikes could really handle reverse mode easily.
