Here is the current stage of my prototype:
Carbon Fiber Chassis and upper desk, six 2/3 A cells (1100 mA) longer wheelbase (110 mm) using a mini z 8T pinion on the front (shown in the picture). Alu slotcar rims with foam tires.

Next step: coil spring dampers (micro rs4 alluminium dampers). Steering linkage.

The body will be a lexan 1/24 nissan from truescaleproducts;

Thank you Ted, no copies are available...it is an artigianal production! If you want plans I can give them to you, but you have to cut completely the original car to use this chassis.

It would be great to get rid of the long shaft motor.

to ben1112

I have worked on a procedure to extract the axle from a common rotor and to insert in it the long axle for minix 4wd.
In this way I can virtually use every 130 size motor. Now I'm preparing a 4wd motor with PN 38T rotor, a bearing can, neo magnets and high quality carbon brushes.
I will post results...I'm waiting for the rotor bought on rckenon, I think it should arrive the next week.

See you soon!

xemet-

What wheels and foams are you using on this car (they make the car stance nice and agressive)?

Nice..................

xemet 11-12-2004 04:17 PM

wheels and foam tires are from slot cars.
16 mm rim diameter, 25 mm outer tire diameter, 10 mm front width and 15 mm rear width.
They are made by S.S.H. and I've bought them here:

http://www.bleck-center.de/pi1079003...?categoryId=16

(n.5 front and n.6 rear)

but I think this online shop sells only in Europe.
They are very good quality items (made in Germany) and are necessary if you want the mini X to go FAST and continue to control it. Original rims and tires are toys.

bye
