i think i looks good, i lil dirty but thats expected, the lil specs are sparkles just like racin said.. you shouldnt say nasty stuff like that, hey racin i think your supras hot!

yea SupraMan017 those dots arent bad color spots, their the sparkles, the car also looks betr in true sunlight, flash dosent do its justice, i also plan to touch up some uneven edges if thats what you meant, as said this is a work in progress.. :( i really worked hard

lose the stickers, lose the carbon fiber tape crap on the hood and re do the side graphics(its a good desighn but somthing looks weird about it)
and i think u should have used some puddy to smooth out the roof scoop it looks very rough

Hey, nice ricer! A tad sloppy, okay, a pinch sloppy, but a few more projects, and you should be well on your way. I have no right to talk, though, I haven't painted my xmod at all... I just got an airbrush though :D

considering the car was a wreck when i started (2 failed paint attempts) and i had to strip everything down, and recarve the body line, i consider it a sucesss, now im just waiting for r.s. to get a new fleet of cars, then i can make a flawless car, but im proud.

unfortunately skklown they dont, but i do plan to eventually install a light kit and neons, and by all means i love rice, it looks and sounds great ( bvrrouuuuuum... pshhhh) i hate the people who use the phrase "all show and no go" seeing as most imports stand a good chamce against american muscle. i dont want this to turn into a flame war, seeing as i like american muscle as well as vintage, i have a respect for all cars, its what we to to our cars thats makes them hot o not

Dont listen to all these idiots..... I have to commend you on the fact that you at least did it AND posted it for the world to see. I think its cool. I like the roof scoop. Keep it up and eventually flawless can be incorperated in your description. Again, Keep up the good work.

Good call. It's pretty good too. I always like to see people try their own stuff and be themselves with their cars. By the way, a good neon color would be red. It matches the black paint scheme.

wow thanks you guys, i was thinking more along the lines of blue, but red would look pretty sweat too again thnx especially shadow blade and geofroley.. btw i plan to finish up my camaro and then perfect my supra and then add some more to it, im also awaiting an email from r.s. concearning new bodies

Do you mean replacement bodies or new body styles? If you mean replacements, heres the info.
To order parts call 1-800-843-7422 or visit your local RadioShack store and give them what part number and pay them. They will send the bodies directly to your house.
Heres the part numbers: Skyline-z94346, RSX-z94347, Civic-Black-z94348, Civic-Blue-z94349, Supra-White-z94350, Supra-Red-z94351. It Took about 2 weeks for me to get mine. I have 3 skyline and 3 supra bodies now. next is 2 more civics and 2 more Rsx's. that way I will have 3 bodies for each depending on my mood. LOL

well what i meant was new styles, they said they plan to introduce new body styles (not sure of which cars) and also new parts, the release date isnt certain but soon

dose any1 know if their is a metallic orange available, im looking for a color like mica red but orange, if it dosent excists, how could i paint my car to look like its metallic orange?

i've got the same parts painted the same color as you but instead of black i have green. your's looks bad. not iin the good way. Maybe someone has blurred your def. of what ricey is...

its a very nice car but,
you should do some touch up jobs, and also redo the tailights cuz they are kinda iffy, safe with the headlights, the paint job is pretty cool, i havent seen anyone do a sparkle paintjob that looks good. The carbon fiber tape on teh spoiler messes it up, you could easily use the tape and properly apply it onteh spoiler to make it look more real. the scoop is great but the end of it has bumps on it. you should buy a new set of stickers, and careful not to let them stick on anything else but the car, this causes teh stickers to stand out and look like sqaures.
but overall the car is pretty good.

i agree with all the people who say it looks like crap. Is that hood scoop hot glued on? it looks like it is. The carbon fiber tape looks like it was applied quickly and so do the stickers. The sparkle paint job looks like little specks of something is stuck to the car. Remember that it doesnt matter if it is sparkles or stuff stuck to the car if it looks like stuff stuck to the car then you wanna redo it. All togeather i think the car looks sloppy and quickly done.

well i think it looks good for what its supposed to be. you should have mixed your own metallics into the paint. use some really fine stuff, and paint the little stuff first, like the grille then mask it, if you accidently mess it up, then do some touchup. once you apply the stickers and everything, go over it with 2-3 coats of clear coat to hide the sticker edges. i hope i helped some. you are a much better painter than i shall ever be. but until i get good i blame my bad jobs on not having an airbrush. he he he

DOH! my bad typo. Anyway is the guy who made the car still coming back to this thread? If not he needs to cuz most of the people on here who have looked at his car and didnt like it have left some pretty good advice for him but eveytime someone tries to give him some advice he takes it like they are saying his car is crap. If he would just apply all the stuff people have left for him his next car would be awesome. I also agree with aperson about the sparkles looking really big. Tamiya paints are for hardbodys like the xmod body but they are made by tamiya for tamiya models which have much larger bodies. So by using the tamiya paints the sparkles look oversized. If you have an airbrush you could kill to birds with one stone and get the metalic orange you want and mix paints with finer sparkles.
