Tureno Question. Please read Tureno owners!!!

I looked on DKS and the tureno pullback has closed headlights. Pictures of the tureno that comes in the Initial-D Project-D shows that the Tureno has opened headlights. Is this a different design or do they have positionable headlights? Are there any other differences?

Thanks,
Micro

On the Trueno body, the hoods are interchangable. Depending on the model you buy, you could get a hood with lights up or lights down. But you can always change if you want the lights up or down by changing the hood. Both hoods come in the Initial D set.

yep, the hoods are interchange able .....in the initial d set, the white hood has closed lights and the black hood has open...

The Initial D trueno also has "Fujiwara Tofu Shop" in Kanji on the side of the car.

The AE86 Tuneup box comes with 5 hoods:

Red, Lights Up
Red, Lights Down
White, Lights Up
White, Lights Down
Black, Lights Down

The initial D Set comes with 2 Hoods:

White, Lights Down
Black, Lights Up

Thanks, does anyone know where I can get the Tureno Tune-Up Box for a reasonable price (don't say ebay!). I've heard it is discontinued and hard to find. I might get the Initial-D set, but I need to save up for it.

Thanks for the replies,
Micro

I don't know, why don't you go search for it on the internet.

otobot 02-27-2004 11:18 PM

tnx :D

it's only 27mhz. it's just a regular set. if u look at stuff like the initial-d set or just a normal set like the wrx or whatever they only ever come in 1 frequency so why would the trueno set be any different. and i dont think u can find a place that sells it no more. it took me a week of straight searching just to find those 2 sets that me and civicsport bought. during that time i pretty much looked at everywhere else and no one had it.

otobot 03-02-2004 04:54 AM

damn...tnx though...:)
