ok i need that part next to that black one........ :D j/k nice job man ill be looking at that when my civic breaks again
Now, who wants to put numbers next to every piece on that pic, then make up a key with all the RS part #s? That would be a great reference for everybody...
...I have no photo editing skills.... i'm so ashamed!! :o :(
nuero, your right...add part numbers and you will have what comes with the mini-z, a exploded isometric drawing showing all the parts and what parts kit they come in as well as how it is assembled. i never looked at the paperwork that came with my xmod so i don't actually know if they include one but i have found the kyosho drawings invaluable when it comes to finding and replacing parts. it would be as good a resource if they were available for the xmod.
i would (kinda) be able to put part# on it but, i don't know all the parts in the parts list, Hopefully CJ can help me out :D , plus i have poor (i mean poor!!!) photo editing skills

Excellent! That's exactly what I was talking about, though I was thinking to just use numbers starting at 1, and work your way up. Then make a separate page that can act as a key. You seemed to have fit the full part numbers in there fine, though. The only thing that is missing is little lines or arrows pointing to the parts in some cases, where they may not be 100% clear to everyone.

Excellent work guys. I'm going to move this over to the Parts forum and make it a sticky.
Good work! |
Thanks!!!! thanks BC, CJ, and everybody for helping out, making it a sticky, and also the comments!!!

Darn it!!!!!!! I needed that piece above the red tierod SOOOOOOOOO badly (mine broke) and it has no RSU# as I see. Oh well. If anyone has an extra one, I will pay top $$$$ for it. Let me know.
^ I have 1 I can sell for $3 shipped
Cracked the red cone gear from my AWD kit. Was wondering why my car slowed down all of a sudden. Is there a part number for this one tiny piece? I wich they would make some metal gears.
That's a helpful pic, as long as you don't try to order some of those parts individually. Radioshack doesn't sell many of those, not unless you buy an entirely new kit. I guess you could ask them to RSU them, but I'm not sure if they would or not. However, if you're short on parts, I'd recommend getting an extra kit or two, because they're about to phase the original Xmods out, in favor of the new Evolution series, just in time for the holidays. That's why they're sending out the $35 kit+body coupons... trying to clear the shelves. Trust me, I should know these sorts of things.
After all... I work there. Of course, I just recommend alloy parts. No need to buy new ones. |
How about a break down for the evo
