http://download.com.com/3000-2192-10...ml?tag=lst-0-1 It's freeware, and is great for doing resizing, cropping, and simple editing. The Eclipse looks like a perfect fit, BTW. Nice job. |
Wow man, nothing short of awesome! Have you thought about getting some bigger rims to fill those wells? You could keep to the 1:28 scale, so the threads would match, but just get 21s or something crazy like that.
Seamless meshing of scales - wicked project. |
is that a hand built car or a body u bought if so where at and how much ? will u make others or special build them?
|
yeah a guy made mine but i helped him and i could ask him if he would and we could talk
thanks all you guys i love it and races awsome i just got done racing it and it is bad we got the body out of a model kit a wal mart 1995 mit eclipse fast and ferous 10 bucks. cant beat that |
i have bigger rims from the model kit and plan on trying to get them on
|
so u think u might start building them ? did u have to chop the car? if so how did you get it seemless? that is so awesome dude just let me know when u might start building em i want one...
|
Nice work! Please do resize your pics. You can edit your pic in "paint" by choosing image, then using the strecth/skew option, probably around 40%.
|
hey do you have a screen name so we can talk personally
thanks all you guys for the compliments |
hey hot rod

this is the guy to make it for you. Ok first reply back to this post and tell me the following things.
1. Find a 1/24 or 1/25 scale model kit HLJ.COM Rainbow10.com walmart etc. 2.either buy it yourself or get the money to buy it and go to the mail post office and get a moneyorder made out to the seller of the kit and on the send to part of the moneyorder put my address that way you don't have to wait for them to ship it to you and then ship it to me and then well thats just too long to wait and instead it would be shiped directly to me and I can start work faster. 3. a plan list would also be good to have entailing what you want to do with the kit and how you want it to work etc. 4. any details would be great. but the best thing I can suggest would be to do your homework in the area of just how you want to build it for some reason 1/25 scale kits have lots of room (I'll try to take a pic of his eclipse from the roomy areas. motors, batteries, Leds for lights, under glow, etc. you get the picture. Wide body kit for fenders. anything is possible litterally I found this out very easily once I took my entire car apart. Sinistar Heres my stock sky line or as I call it the Drift Poilce. |

Im assuming you had to extend the drive shaft. Where did you get a longer one or how did you work that out? Im an amateur still gathering the right pieces for my first project and the only thing I dont have or have figured out so far is the drive shaft, I've been told you can special order any Xmod piece from Radioshack and havent looked into it yet. I need to lengthen my wheelbase by an inch and a half and I dont think I'll need to widthen it, I took it apart and if I havent overlooked anything I only need to replace the drive shaft and make a few brackets to get that extra inch and a half.(thats bare minimum, I also want to work something out to where I can clip and unclip the wires connecting the battery to the car so I dont have to bust out the soddering tool everytime i accidentily tug at the wires, and maybe add some extra batteries if it doesnt require any other changes besides sticking another battery case in there. I dont even want to think about the engine mods I'll be getting into when I learn more about this stuff). Anyhow sorry about being long winded, basically I wanna do what you did and could use any advice you feel like giving me about the drive shaft and anything else Im overlooking :) Your car looks like it fits beautifully by the way, I can already visualize it with the windows, paint and new tires on it :)
btw sinistar i dont know if you've seen it already, but on my scavenger hunt for parts and accesories for my project I found a site with some nice looking lightbar setups, it has full 1:24 scale unmarked crown victoria police cruisers but they are diecast and of little use to Xmodders but they have nice looking lightbars that come seperately for less then a couple bucks a piece. I noticed you have that single light on yours and thought you might be interested in the more modern looking ones... I assume they are plastic(I hope so anyway, Im ordering a few) and you can get clear paint to paint em with on the same site...check it out http://www.carorama.com/lgtbars/index.htm |
