Writng Book

Hey guys, I am thinking about writing a book about XMODS and modding them and secrets and tips, what do you think?

Would you buy it?

beerbarf 11-25-2003 11:30 PM

sure for ten bucks, no more;)

lckyrocket 11-26-2003 02:33 PM

anyone else?

oOfrog_BoyOo 11-26-2003 02:39 PM

I would

viperkilla 11-26-2003 03:57 PM

I might depending on the content and the length of the book. I mean I wouldnt pay alot of money for a book that has a few pages.

Mr BigShot 11-26-2003 04:26 PM

sorry but heck No

Why would i buy your book when i have TINYRC.com <---- all the info i need is here :D

lckyrocket 11-26-2003 05:27 PM

Hey Mr.Bigshot,

Those type of comments aren't needed, if you have to say something like that then just shut up and sit down! Some people might actually enjoy having a 24/7 reference book neatly compiled with an index so you dont have to go clicking through this whole forum. Right guys?

Mr BigShot 11-26-2003 06:28 PM

WoW

LOL just trying to save you

FROM WASTING YOUR TIME

You don't have to get all Crazy you asked for people's opinion's

lckyrocket 11-26-2003 07:58 PM

The way u said it was NOT in a polite way

aero528 11-26-2003 08:21 PM

i think that would be very useful. i would buy it.

GhettoFiedRacin 11-26-2003 09:45 PM

i seriously doubt n e one would buy it ... some goof was tryin to sell Bit books on ebay and everyone was totally trashin them ...but who knos ... all I kno is i would rather ahve a FREE forum like this one to get my info

sessiz10 11-26-2003 10:57 PM

......and why was that goof with the book on modding bits trashed?
A. Becuase he took all of the free info from here and other forums, and without credits or expressed permission from the original moders, tried to sell that free/shared info.

Now, why this would really not be worth your time.
Xmods are new and the full mod potential is still out there, you will not have a complete and concise "modder's manual". Maybe after a year or so, and as the info is compiled, and the permissions givin, your book maybe worth the $10-$20 for someone to pay.
Do what you like and good luck to you anyway.

lckyrocket 11-27-2003 08:55 AM

Hey guys, cool down. Most of the mods will be ones i am doing, and if I am going to use people's i will get their persmission.

Lets say it's John Doe's mod

I would say:

Submitted by John Doe

itsalllies 11-27-2003 09:21 AM

Wow, your a jerk. You CLEARLY asked for peoples opinions, and the second someone states that they dont think it would sell or that they wouldn't buy it, you COMPLETELY flip out on them and yell at them for badtalking you, which they aren't.

Guess what? The internet is open 24/7 too, and you can instantly find what you want on forums by using the search feature! You may be able to trick some small children into buying your "mystery book of mods and tips," but anyone with half a mind will go look up everything they need on the internet.

Theres your idea for 6.99 with currently NO bids, and it includes how to build your own motors, charging formulas, and how to mod many things from a Mini-Z to fit on an Xmod. Maybe if you can make a better guide that is cheaper, someone might buy it.

lckyrocket 11-27-2003 06:29 PM

What? I am flipping out? Excuse me.... BadCOmpany, can you help me please?

tigermask44 11-27-2003 06:43 PM

I concur. A book is not a good idea with the information supa-highway always open.

lckyrocket 11-27-2003 07:05 PM

Ok, thanks for your polite answer. thats the way you should all respond, thanks

eman1 11-27-2003 08:17 PM

I think its a bad idea. Feel free to do it, but i doubt it would be worth the time you put in.

Mr BigShot 11-27-2003 10:11 PM
