how'd u do it?

Benskins 11-15-2003 04:50 PM

i spliced the two headlight kits together and drilled two holes in the bumper and poped the lights in. ill post some more pics tonight if you would like to see how i did it.

is that a supra? the stock bumper has two side vents and two clear thingies. scrape the glue/melted plastic from behind and remove it and you got exactly enough room to wedge an led in there. no need to drill. that's how i have it on mine, held in by friction. works pretty well

Benskins 11-15-2003 10:58 PM

yes it is the supra, i used the mild body kit bumper and put the holes in the inside air dams. i drilled the holes in the actual fog light spot on the wild body kit and havnt done the stock one yet.

like i said ill post some pictures later on tonight.

4G63T 11-16-2003 12:43 PM

no problem;)
i don't have my xmod yet, but soon!
is it diffiult to do it?
i saw the threads how to do it, but from your point of view how is it?
do i need to solder it?
thanks

Benskins 11-16-2003 03:34 PM

nope just split the wires and take the plastic coating off and then splice the wires together. then drill holes in the bumper and slide the LEDS in. it was not hard at all just make sure te leave enough slack in the wire and be sure not to pull the wire out of the led.
