hey guys, im gonna go out and buy a supra tonight but i was wondering how long do the batteries last on the stock motor?

thx in advance

corysmith 11-04-2003 10:34 PM

about 10-15 minutes, RS is soon to release the IC3 rechargeables, they are nimhs that recharge in 15 minutes and are more powerful and longer lasting than current nimhs, so be ready soon...

Benskins 11-04-2003 10:37 PM

yeah the only way to have it worth while is in a sanctioned race that u need extra power to win

fst blk supra 11-04-2003 10:55 PM

why not use it daily?

corysmith 11-04-2003 11:04 PM

a 4 pack is like 3-4 dollars, imagine replacing alkalines every 15 minutes

Micro S2000 11-04-2003 11:09 PM

alkalines are slower any way

rayovac already makes the ic3. very nice batt.
-speaking of rs though, i went there tonight to get another starter kit (red supra) and some upgrades. the guy that sold the stuff to me said rs is going to be releasing the stage 3 motor soon (he had a space on the wall for it). you work at rs, do you know if this is true? and if so do you know when?

Micro S2000 11-04-2003 11:18 PM

i heard rumors about it being one motor and higher rpm than the stage 2. also from what i heard it was a bit pricey

vtheo 11-04-2003 11:46 PM

s2000, i think that you heard about the nml stage 10, a total rebuild of the stage two which seems to be the best right now for xmods, this guy tried miniz motors, says that his beats the living snot out of them, he is well known in the miniz forum, so i would trust him. a couple of vids are around show how flipping fast it is... looks like now the only problem is handling... oh and money... i believe he is selling them for 47 bucks, only seven he has made for the time being....

havent seen anything in the saturday morning videos, online, or anything, i may take a look more in depth today, but i havent seen any confirmations

merc 11-05-2003 07:26 AM

ok... thank you for checking on it

How long do the rechargable xmod batteries take to charge? And how long is the runtime?

War Eagle 11-05-2003 02:28 PM

Wal-Mart already has the IC3 charger and batteries available. The 2 battery charger is about $20 and the four battery charger is $28. They come with 2 AA batteries but you can buy the AAA separately for $14 for four. The batteries only charge fast in the IC3 charger, they charge normal in other chargers. I have been using this batteries for about a week and a half and they seem to be working great. I would highly recommend them if you don't already have them.

Yea I'd have to agree with you there (not to offend those who plan to buy the stage 10 motor). With $40 i could buy some upgrades because stage 2 motors are already fast enough for me.
