Nissan 350Z / Fairlady Z

Just got the Fairlady Z. It's 57mhz and comes with a booster controller. Yep, it's confirmed, the chassis is a booster.

Need4Speed210 09-30-2002 05:21 PM

thats great, nice car :D. Just ordered one last night and I can wait :p . Is the range good on the car?

Vaelin 09-30-2002 05:26 PM

About as good as it gets with a cripple cap. :) Haven't decided if I want to do the range mods on it yet.

Need4Speed210 09-30-2002 05:27 PM

may I ask about how far that is? (im new :p ) And are the cripple caps in the same place as with the normal cars like the supra? ty

Vaelin 09-30-2002 07:05 PM

5-6 ft. I don't think the cap is in the same place.. there's another place where there's shoddy solder.

323iT 09-30-2002 07:31 PM

i ordered the auto modelista set. thats boosted too:)

Guy 09-30-2002 07:35 PM

mr0072003 09-30-2002 09:05 PM

MTL 10-01-2002 02:05 AM

GASP!!

i didnt know it was already out..wonder if theres gonna be a microsizer version...

mr0072003 10-01-2002 09:11 AM

probably not...but what do i know......but htink about it......there probably will be no NSX, Gloria, Special Edition, definitly no AE86......so personally I htink that the Bit CharG are way better, cuz of the rare sets they have....dont forget...no GTR set either........Imagin you show someone the set who has only been to the MS site and never seen the mario kart set or the GTR set......:p

Vaelin 10-01-2002 02:51 PM

Actually, I would think Hobbico would realize that people will want other vehicles to play with.

http://www.cosmogames.com/DETAIL.ASP?PRODID=3636

Hope I have helped at least one person out there.

E)(pul$ioN 10-01-2002 10:01 PM

Thanks alot for the link. Indeed you helped someone. ;)

MTL 10-01-2002 10:12 PM

Deadite 10-01-2002 10:23 PM

Poo on me!

I just orderd a microsizer s2000 on Friday. I wish I had known about this car I would have gotten it instead. :(

Shacky 10-01-2002 10:51 PM

Junkyspot has it for $33.99. What's Cosmo's shipping? I know Junkyspot shipping is very reasonable.

Junkyspot

Need4Speed210 10-01-2002 10:53 PM

does JunkySpot ship to Canada? I emailed them like a week ago about it but no response. But their site seems very much up to date

Deadite 10-01-2002 11:01 PM

You out did me.

You actually found a price that was cheaper. :(

I deleted my post where i said he was wrong once I realized there was a Fairlady listing.

Need4Speed210 10-01-2002 11:03 PM

lol I deleted mine too, didnt want to look like I was trying to show Shacky up or something

Deadite 10-01-2002 11:08 PM

Rant

Be warned I read that Junky shop charges 3% for paypal fees. http://www.junkyspot.com/ordering.html ... I would look at the guy I listed too and see if they ship to Canada and if they have hidden fees like junky does. I don't know how you pay but I pay paypal and think that is bunk that they want us the customer to pay their fees. I may be nuts but isn't a fee they pay to a company say credit card/paypal a cost of them doing business. I think it's rather in your face to say hey we're gonna charge you more....makes no sense why not sell your stuff for $34.99 and not even have to charge fees to your customer.

Need4Speed210 10-01-2002 11:16 PM

Thats pretty stupid. Would be great if you could ask...thx! Can you just use credit card or money order? Cuz I dont even have paypal anyways :p

Deadite 10-01-2002 11:22 PM

Those dudes only take paypal, money order, or personal check. I think they need to move into the modern age and take something called CREDIT CARDS!!! .... It looks like the best place for you to look right now is at my original link for that other store.

They will do intl orders http://www.cosmogames.com/mainanswer.asp?hid=82

Hey check out this Jap commercial for the Bit too it's interesting...http://home.netvigator.com/~s1014118/bitcharg.mpeg....

Nightwing 10-01-2002 11:54 PM

One cool car! And it looks like a black controller to go along with it!

Was wondering where did they put the boost button on the controller that comes with the car? All I have seen is a partial left side view of it.

Deadite 10-02-2002 12:19 AM

The car comes with a boost option .... to use boost you have to have the 4 frequency optional controller that has the boost button on it.

See example ... http://www.cosmogames.com/detail.asp...14&subcatid=61

Shacky 10-02-2002 12:36 AM

Junkyspot has had the best prices on everything I've looked at so far. Best yet, they are local to me so I can pickup and save on shipping! :D

I'm sure the 3% paypal surcharge is really to cover those costs. For me, a cash paying customer, I get to save that 3% as well. Unfortunately, that means customers like you can get the same deal elsewhere.

The guys at Junkyspot are really good guys. Email them again. There's only 2 of them, but they usually respond pretty quickly.

BTW. Watch for Junkyspot special deals. You can great specials including combos and one time deals that are impossible to beat. (Well, except for HLJ's latest deal :))

Nightwing 10-02-2002 12:42 AM

Tnks Deadite! Be a intering one to get and try grounding the boost pin on the TX2 chip in the controller!

Actualy pay pay 3% is not that bad since MC & Visa charge a business between 2 to 5% on a purchase by their card.

tinyrc 10-02-2002 12:48 AM

Actually, and I don't mean to disparage junkyspot, but what they are doing is completely illegal, as outlined in the PayPal User Agreement:

Quote:

No Surcharges. Under Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods).
(see http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr.../terms-outside)

Deadite 10-02-2002 01:04 AM

Thanks tinyrc

Yay you have justified my disdane with what I read on their site....so it's against paypal policy....

tinyrc 10-02-2002 01:09 AM

I'm afraid so. I've seen other stores do this, it is always illegal for any store that says it accepts Visa/MC/Amex by any method, PayPal or otherwise, to charge an additional fee or percentage. If they are found out then the CC companies come down hard on them and they can't take CCs any more. It is a cost of business that companies must absorb otherwise they violate their CC agreements.

Shacky 10-02-2002 01:35 AM

uh-oh

That's not good. I guess that's one of the reasons accepting paypal and credit cards is a big step.

Deadite 10-02-2002 01:41 AM

Those little "things" that other companies do is why I have ordered from tinyrc.com. I have read previously before placing my order that this sight does you right. (Do you hear the wosh of the sucking up sound) hehhehe ... tinyrc I love your sight.... I assume you started out as just a hobby sight ... and then started to sell?

MTL 10-02-2002 02:11 AM

ive orderd from junkyspot 2 times already...those were for parts...but i used money order since i dont have a credit card....im 18 :D

Deadite 10-02-2002 02:48 AM

That car is really sweet looking. How do you like the boost option? Where did you buy it?
