How about a worst TinyRC contest?
 

If you're like me, you can cruise these forums and look at customized bits and miniz's, etc all day long. The good, the bad, and the ZipZaps :)

Why not show off some of you're early attempts, failed paint jobs, destroyed cars, just anything really thats not all that pretty.

We can call it Bit Par-t fouls!! (at least the bits, but I wanna see every kind of small-scale RC here folks)

sounds like an interesting contest to me, I think some of the entries would be good for a chuckle (*not to be mean or anything, just in good fun :) ). What should the prize be? something related to the contest theme maybe. Tiny what do you think?

YES! Great idea. All these pristine bits are nice, but I'd like to see some Beaterz as well. :D

LOL, that's not fair though, the ZipZaps have a big head start! Cool idea guys, post away. We'll come up with some kind of smashed-up prize to give. :D

hey thats a great idea tinyrc could give away a bit char-g body like the rally lancer or the castol supra but i think i would be kinda concerned about someone destroying thier bit jsut to try to win the contest

Prize is no biggie as far as I'm concerned. If we could just get a nicely organized list of ONLY the entries. These threads get too cluttered to sort through. (hint hint ;) )

I'd also like to see "Action Shots" become a regular thing...for those of us who do more than pose. :D

We can have people post them to this thread, then we will create an Album in the Gallery for them like we did with the other contest.

Sweet... should some one make this thread sticky? To get more exposure. I'm figuring admin or moderator is needed, correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

does this only include what the body looks like on the bit? or can it have to do with chassis as well. I mean like if someone took the time to make their bit look all rusted out, wrecked, and beat down, like a real car of 20 years of abuse. wheels that were glued to the axles off center so the car bobs and bounces when driving. :D just something to take into consideration. I just think it would be neat to take an old beat up bit and make it look and drive even worse. A few more ideas I've got floating around..... Dragging muffler, roof caved in a lil, and feild of dreams non drivable car. Basically all "model ageing".

lowerdfool good point, I was thinking the same thing too... the contest would be no good to those of us who don't have any unitentional junkers :(.

Wow, that would be awesome! Okay, for a prize for this compo, how about the Skyline Set, it comes with three bodies so you'd have something to fix up your old hoopty with! :)

Cool guys! I just wanted something to keep us active, ya know? Thanks for such a good response/input. And espacially thanks to TinyRC for the prize! Thats the next set I was going to buy, so I've got to submit mine!!!!!

But lets try to keep it just photos from now on. Why don't we make another thread for any Questions/Comments. This way there will be a little info on the contest at the begining of the thread, but further questions can be submitted elswhere....good idea???

I might be a little slow, but what is the focus of this contest? I'm not going to screw up a perfectly good body for anything I can think of. I have one that a 'Professional' screwed up real good. I am still waiting for my lexan bodies. BAE

I think you guys are trying to make it more complicated than we had intended. It's just having a little bit of fun...show us a body you screwed up, or screw one up if ya like. Make it look like a junker even...which would be harder in some respects than making it look nice.

This is a first time thing so just go nuts and we'll see what happens. Setting a bunch of rules in place will just hinder the creativity.

I'm working on a nasty Rx-7....should ZipZaps be disqualified by default? :D (Joking! I have a fugly ZZ coming along also...)

Has anybody bought and been satisfied with a Dans Body set? I just received mine and the surface finish on the cars that I wanted is horrible. The surface features are indistinct also. I was dissapointed in the quality, forget the cost. I'll return the set by Friday. Hopefully a new set will be better. BAE

Lexan bodies are vacuum-formed and you'll never get the details of molded plastic. I haven't seen the Dan bodies, but had a feeling Lexan would not be a good choice for such small, highly scrutinized models. :(
