how's the traction with those tires?
|
really
I have never seen that one before or seen it done what do you have to do to the muscle machine body to make it fit I want to put one on my 4x4 which zip bodies fit perfectly on do all the bodies fit or just some |

You have to do a lot of dremeling to the front and rear as well as the fenders. The Camaro is the only body I have seen so far that mounts the way I did. The other bodies don't have enough surface area in the front and rear after removing them from their existing chassis. The car just kinda press fits over the existing tabs. I stick a piece of rubber under that to hold it in. With the metal body, you can't bend it over onto the tabs like Bits and Zips. Here is a pic where I dremeled.

Here are the wheels mounted to the existing axle and knuckles. You do have to remove the PCB cover. I also had to cut away some of the chassis/PCB compartment to make clearance for the rear tires.
|
cool
when I did the mm wheels on my bit I followed the instructions on costom bit bodies site so I did not have to do anything to the chasse but they stick out too far for my liking the front wheels I did what you did though |

I think the wheels sit just about right. I think it gives it a tough look how far they stick out.

Here is another one that will work.
|
haha, those are friggen badass :D
I can't wait for the `66 mustang r/c to come out, I'm all over that one...too bad its not a `65 (I am restoring a `65 coupe ;) ) |
the guy across the street from me has a 67 mustang fastback that he's hopped up abit but it still looks completely stock with the original rims and tires
|
Can this be done with a microsizer,or do you need a zip zap?I am not familiar with the zips,so I dunno if there is a size difference,or anything else important.
|
Zips are longer, Much more to scale than bits.
Did I mention that zips are way better too? :) |
Will any of the microsizer parts fit a zip?I wanted to build a drag micro, but seeing as I can fit a muscle machine body on a zip(and I LOVE muscle cars),it may be the perfect match!
|
I think only the motors are the same... Unless you want to put bit tires and rims on a zip, I have no idea why you would want to, but hey, someone might :\
I think you can swap the batts too... But I dont think you would want to do that either... Bits have nicads :P |
I would just want to put in a new motor, and maybe some of the handling stuff.I am gonna get either the r-spec 2,or that 43k rpm motor off ebay, and go from there.I amso just found out that zips have a muscle car body pack!
|
You can swap out the axles / knuckles with wheels, motors, sway bars, batteries, pcb boards. I think the bits would be impossible for the Muscle Machine Bodies. They are way too short. I had to dremel the fenders to fit a Zip chassis.
|
Maybe I will just get a zip zap,and the muscle car body set.
|
The real things are NOW SHIPPING from www.onestopdiecast.com. I wonder how long before they show up in the stores.

By the way...the blower unscrews from the bottom.
(for those who don't like it) You could probably put a carbon fiber or flat black sticker on the hood to cover up the hole as it recessed enough that if something is laid over it will sit flat |
Jimmy, if you see a `65 mustang one, buy it for me please, I'll pay you back.
BTW - email me, your 2/3aa 650's came in. |
So how do they run? Do they handle well? What kind of speed?
|

and as far as the batteries.... I'll email you in a bit |

the charging system in weird but cool.. you put the two AA's in this module and you plug the module into the bottom of the car...then once the car is charged, you plug the module into the remote and away it goes... The remote has a big red shift light on it to show when the buttons are pressed (pretty cool) |
I'm still looken...hehe
HP doesn't have them for some reason?! They have every other muscle machine's line though. My next hit will be Target, then toys `r us, then resort to eBay and pay the ransom money for a muscle mustang... |
will the regular MM bodies fit on these? if so, i will have the 55 chevy.:D
|
Got my blue MM Mustang today . Very quick ,.. handling a
little shaky , but fixable . Using regular MM bodies should be no problem ,.. there will be some minor adjustments to the body like relocating the front mounting screw ,.. ( different location ) and a rear chassis locator slot needs to be made . |
aww man, I need to find one!
This is killing me, lol |
I payed $15.99 on Ebay . Shipping was $4 , but I didn't
have to waste time or gas to locate one . My next hit will be Target, then toys `r us, then resort to eBay and pay the ransom money for a muscle mustang... |
