A new discovery!!!

When me and my neighbor were charging our zips (they both were 27 mhz) we couldn't control the other! So if you have the same frequency you can only control your car when charging and the same applies for the other person. By the way, I recently got the Phast motor from Rcmod, it is quicker than my NOS express motor. It doesn't seem to have too much torque, but just enough to kick my neighbor's car! :) :) :)

Springs!
:bs:

flatlander_14 06-15-2003 01:57 PM

i would like the springs. the other stuff is all useless:

a 6.0 motor with decent torque is a long way away. you usually trade torque for high speed. you would NEED to have at least 3-4 cells to get the thing to even budge.

the whole point of these things is to mod them and make them fast, if they come stock with multiple cells, everyone will have one and this hobby will get really old really fast.

faster gear ratios WOULD be nice, but again, you trade torque for high speed. the red gears take long enough to get up to speed. (and i am even talking about in a tri cell car)

its the 2f2f kit, why would there be shells from the first movie in there? i wouldnt mind another rx7 though:D but either way the supra and rx7 are both in starter sets anyways.

the rare earth magnets do about nothing, i have seen no difference at all.

I just picked up the Life Like tune-up kit with the springs, but haven't had a chance to install them yet.

viperkilla 06-15-2003 02:56 PM

id wish theyd include the suspension bars...i broke them....:o

Queso 06-15-2003 05:05 PM

springs is whats I needs

nouseforname101 06-15-2003 05:56 PM

SPPRRRIINGGSS!!

6.0 motor = No fun. Racing is about competition. Unless you are a complete ego-maniac then complete obliteration is no fun.

I think more than one cel is cheating for some reason. I jsut think 1 cell is enoguh & its more of a test of driving skill than test of cells

Char-g Ace 06-16-2003 12:37 AM

anyone who voted springs needs to think about their vote.
Radioshack strongly advises you not to open the pcp (i must say i disagre with them to). so y would they put suspension springs in a pack.

still, if they would i'd say the springs

pcp is a highly addictive drug....i think you meant pcb...printed circuit board.

:p

strider_mt2k 06-16-2003 04:20 PM

They shouldn't open any PCP either though.

Queso 06-16-2003 07:56 PM

just how addictive is pcp ?

Char-g Ace 06-16-2003 10:21 PM

sorry about that, I was rushing because one of my ms was burning in the bathroom sink. I got it cleaned up before my parents got home.:D

wut's a life like tune-up kit? is it a slot car tune-up kit?

MadScott 06-18-2003 01:27 PM

Definitely springs. And what the hell does opening up the pcp...err...the pcb have to do with putting in the springs? Sorry, I did too much pcp when I was modding.:D

TypeZer0 06-18-2003 02:54 PM

u gotta flip up the pcb to get to the screw that holds the steering cover down so u can take the knuckles out to put on the springs

Aren't you quite the critical one, flatie!

By the way, I have come up with another crazy idea: I recently saw some baby powder and used that as a lubricant for my gears. I dusted the whole axle (even the tires) and ran it in air without any load for a second or two to get rid of extra powder. I put it on the floor, and GOOD GRIEF it goes zipppppy!!!!

ViperKid 06-21-2003 09:00 AM

doesn't putting baby powder on your tires hurt traction?

charliebrown 06-21-2003 01:37 PM

If you use a lot, yes. However, with a LITTLE bit of powder smoothed into the tires, it gets just the right grip. If you use all-season tires then you're more likely to flip because of the tight gripped turning. But with powder, it can slide and speed across the floor in a tight combo! ;)

ViperKid 06-21-2003 03:50 PM

i bet it looks good on a black car too;)

flatlander_14 06-21-2003 06:18 PM

spill that baby powder all over the car and tell your mom the driver is a drug dealer:D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHJAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!:D :D :D
That's one of the funniest one-liner jokes you'll hear in a lifetime!!!

Charlie Brown Edit: sharpen a pencil and roughen/scratch up one side of it. Rub the jagged side on your tires and they'll pick up a li'l lead that makes em look hot and run sleek!!! Use them only on slicks, though. ;)

2nd edit: I meant rough up the side of THE LEAD, not the whole pencil. Make one side of the lead really scratchy and rub the scratchy side on the tires for improvement...

charliebrown 06-21-2003 08:11 PM

Hey, um, Char-g Ace, I hate to disappoint you but....
I see you tried to change your title to "moderator". People here at TinyRC aren't really dumb enough to fall for that. Did you think no one was going to notice???? :D :D :D
