Initial D is addictive
 

I have just got into Initial D. I seen the first 20 1st stage they have all been subtitled that I downloaded from kazaa.com. If you have never seen them then you have 2 its a japanese cartoon about street racing.
What r all the cars on it? I want to have a ID bit set. The only bodies I have r a gloria a wrx a s2000 a 350z and a Bb. I dont think any of them r on ID. So if u have anytell me i would like them.

i bought the first stage on DVD. It is greatness personified, I will get the second stage if my dealings on a 1/18 fall through.

Battle and Extra have the same cars as the other stages

Over the past two weeks I have been downloading them off kazaa. I agree its very addictive. I just finished downloading 3rd stage Movie sometime early this morning while I was asleep, and I have all the other stages on my HD or CD except the battle and extra stage.

But whats really disappointing is the fact that I got to watch what was probably many weeks of episodes in just a little time and now I am going through withdrawal knowing there are no new ones for me to download :(

I don't consider myself a big anime fan but sometimes I latch onto a certain series like Initial D.

oh i love initial d i have all of it! all 1st stage, 2nd stage, extra stage, 3rd stage the movie, and battle stage....... i like 3rd stage the best, then 1 stage since its the intro to it all, and finally 2nd stage cuz not much happens here ......... IMO extra stage sucks! cuz takumi isnt in it, its all about impact blue, and there not that great of drivers....... battle stage is just scenes from other stages so it not really a stage in itself........... BTW you go by person not stages.........and you do have a initial d car!!!! takumi's dad bunta drives a WRX......... anyways heres some info on it.........

I don't really think that Bunta drives a WRX. It never says anything about it and I've seen all of the episodes. I think that's just someone trying to pull your leg.

IM right. period. hehe, just kidding, but remember, 4th stage is out in the manga... NoT the animated video yet... personally, my opinion is that the character development and character drawing is incredibly weak... for an anime series... but dont get me wrong, im not raggin on initial D... in fact, i went thru the same "watch and die of withdrawal" cycle a few months ago... :D i love that show... too bad i cant read japanese, or chinese for that matter...

i've never seen bunta's WRX... i believe it exists, maybe in the later stages, but my reasoning is... if he's got his own car.. then why does takumi have to argue with him for the 86 all the time rite?

has anyone seen the reverse sil-80 around? i saw a couple yesterday... and proceded to freak out, scream at my friend, and almost hit a lamp post... it's got S13 taillights, and the front of a 180, or 240SX hatchback in north america...

Well I spent most of last week on 2nd stage, and I don't remember any mention of it so I agree. Or maybe its just in the comic books?

Sometimes I get a little ambitious and start making webpages for my interests. I started a few html pages on my comp concerning initial d and was thinking of replacing some cowboy bebop pages I had on the web that I never really finished. While planning out the setup I decided I wanted a page that showed the cars in the show and actual pictures of the real cars they represent. that information about bunta driving a wrx....was that information made before the 4th stage manga or after? cuz i think the series came out before the wrx was made..i THINK, not sure. not like they had newer cars in the original series, more like classic drift machines that's been proven time and time again by the best japanese drifters as great drift cars.

Heyyy.... Initial D fans! Cool! Yeah, I confess I was turned on to the series by a friend who knows I'm a drift/ street race nut. Tried to DL it but it took so darn long on WinMX I ended up just buying the whole DVD set.

As for Bunta and the WRX, he doesn't actually have one in the animated series. It turns up in the manga and in stage 4, he actually races Takumi and completely smokes him! Or so i'm told by a friend who can actually get the manga in Asia. They're working out the details on producing the next animated series. Can't wait!

Also, TypeZer0, the animated series was begun in '99, Although from the way they were speaking, it seemed they were in '96 which was quite likely when the manga came out. The reason of course that they were limited to Evo VI or V and didn't have the GT-r R-34.

The Subaru WRX though has been out since about '93 and has gone through various incarnations since then. can't wait till the new STi arrives here in the US. Gotta take one of those for a test drive. 300HP and an active center diff with a SureTrac front diff and LSD in the rear. Was so dissapointed when I found out that the Evo VIII for the US was arriving sans active diffs and they aren't even making it an avilable option!!! Well, hopefully they'll come to their senses like Subaru did and a year from now, we'll get to see the full-blown J-spec Evo. the Evo VIII actually has a new improved active rear diff that they call Super AYC supposedly even better!

Hmmm... sorry got a little sidetracked there with the cars. Happen to be my 2 favorite cars actually. Was going to put a deposit for the Evo VIII down till I heard they were removing the active diffs for the US. Nothing beats a turbo 4wd for drifting:D

Except skill of course as evidenced in Stage 2 of Initial D. Given equal skill though, there is no contest.

if you go to HLJ and search for initial d they have bunta's WRX model...... yeah thats how i found out about it.......... and even though its old i love to play initial d ..... in the arcade of course

Hey strakka, there's actually an arcade game called Initial D? My buddy in Asia told me about this arcade game modeled after Initial D called 'Battle Zone' I think. Said it's lots of fun to play. He practises drifting on it. Told him he should just take his car out late at night and practice but I think he's afraid he might screw up and damage the car. He also said that 'Battle Zone II' is either out or coming out, and it seems they have it for the PS2 as well.

Huhhh.... that's the problem with living in the boonies here in K'zoo Michigan. The arcade games that come here IF they even do and that's a big fat if, are all years old. Oh well, I suppose the upside is that I haven't been too interested in arcade gaming anymore since I moved here. Saves a lot on the 'tuition' fees whenever a new game comes out:p

Ok...apparently Bunta does in fact have a WRX...or at least will in 4th Stage (as to whether he has it in previous stages but never shows it...I don't know). From what I'm hearing there's a preview on the net (somewhere...still haven't found it) for 4th Stage where Takumi races Bunta with Takumi in his 86 and Bunta in a smoke grey WRX. Again this is what I've heard from the few people that have supposedly seen the preview but I can't totally confirm this yet as I personally haven't seen the preview...anywho just wanted to post this for those who care. :D

Anywho...so you don't like the new wrx coming out? Style wize I mean. I actually kinda like it, it looks really nice. I agree about hte Lancer though...I like the look of the back end of the EvoVII but not the front...ugh. My personal fave is the Evo VI Zerofighter edition. From what I remember I believe it weighed in at 1300 lbs and put out 340 HP and 303 lbs of torque (zoom zoom huh? LOL...yes yes I know that mazda... :) ). Hafta look it up again. Ok sorry I got off topic as well....couldn't resist... :D :D

Yup, that's what Bunta's driving in 4th stage. A previous gen. grey WRX. Can't remember what the chassis code is though. And now with the extra ugly WRX coming out, I guess that would make it 2 gens ago. Wonder what's up with the Subaru styling department? Not enough oxygen being piped into the design offices? Same goes for Mitsubishi actually. I personally thought the Evo 6 and 6.5 (Makinen Edition) were the nicest looking Evos. from the 3 onward, they just kept making the car look more and more agressive and then the 7 came out. Ech... but I'm headed a little off topic again, sorry:p

Anyway, Bunta beats Takumi proving that he really is as good as he keeps telling Yuichi.

Guess my buddy's lucky to be in Asia at least as far as getting access to stuff like this goes. Gotta get him to send me more stuff!:D Unfortunately, his connection is crap!

oh....now that i've seen the pic of the wrx they used in stage 4, i always thought that the wrx was the recent car in the states with the huge round lights. that car in that little pic i usually call the impreza, like the 2.5 impreza RS they sell here that looks almsot identical to the wrx. i dont' really read up about subaru's cars and their jdm versions and names. guess they call it the wrx over there or something, i dunno. anyway, that act 4 manga, is it the original japanese manga or is it some english translated one that you guys have been reading?
