All those cars and all fully buffed and no track? :D
Why man, why. :D Those PN tires and aluma wheels look sick. Could I see those with the body on? Thanks :) |
I had a Mini96 RCP track for a while. But since then Dad got a new 2 year old Irish Setter who is so full of energy I was afraid he'd wreck up the track and I'd have no opp's to set it up and use it. I'm looking more and more into the RealTracks system as it look's lot's more durable than RCP.
Fully buffed? Only the Murcielago is full-option. The Countach just has the alloy bit's, and the Porsche/Subaru are bone stock except for tires. Next week I'll concentrate on finishing the Countach and doing the Porsche full-tilt. |
What do you think about the RCP track?
I'm looking for a track of my own and can't decide which surface I should go with. Options are: Kyosho mini96 GP 50x50 or GP 30x30 (better quality) RCP mini96 (cheaper) Kyosho rubber Mirage mat Painted MDF wood. And I just decided carpet is not the choise for me. RealTracks are plastic right? Not for dnanos.. |
I did enjoy my Mini96 and sometimes I wish I still had it. There are times the dog goes with Dad away on trips. :(
I would highly recommend the Mini96 for the Dnano's with the proper PN tires. The cars will rocket all around that track. As I have no experience with any other kind of track, I can't say anything about the other choices. But from my previous Mini96, it's well worth it. I feel the Mini96 is perfect for the Dnano's more so than the 1/28 scale cars. The Mini-Z's just felt too tight on that track. From what I understand, with the right tires, the RealTracks are just right for the Dnano. I'd like to get another track for my self one of these day's now that I have four cars to run with! :D |

yes, realtracks is plastic and yes, it can be used for dnano's provided you have the right tire combination. like any surface, tire selection is critical. painted mdf can be good. be sure you use the right paint. in the past, mixing sand in the paint was the trick of the trade to provide grip. i really liked this surface but the wood rails were brutal on the cars. i don't see this being used anymore. |
heres my custom painted audi r8 still ned to clearcoat and fix the black ailttle

Look's like some of our black up front needs more touch-up. Looking good!
|

Thought of anything yet for your Porsche?

I still say some type of metallic gray or gun-metal like color.
I'm replacing my white 911's body with the silver version as I'm sure it'll look much nicer with the alloy's. Or a deep burgendy color? |
ok couldnt get the paint i wanted so i went with this colour instead also added the black around the windows and front airdam area too dark outside for better pics hopefully tomorrow

got another dnano today this time a lancia delta i already have its big brother so i thought i would get a dnano one too this one is a hm were as the porsche is mm
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...1020091425.jpg all three only the r8 is a body http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...1020091427.jpg |
Sweet! That's my favorite of the Lancia Delta teams. I don't care for it too much in red, but I do like the rally-varient. I'd put some white wheels for that. And, you can do an inch-up on the Lancia like I did with my Subaru! Great choice buddy! :D
|
some pics of my lancia with its big brother

Have you driven the Lancia yet and how does the HM compared to the other models? Great pair!
|
yes ive driven it on wood floor and for some reason its faster than the mm car even using the same battery i found the mm car to be very skittish on wood floor were as the hm car is more planted on the same floor i should say both are using the 6 tooth pinion gear
|
Some progress!

Argh, no, not for me, spent too much on them already, I better forget your pic before I commit the "add to cart" click ;) |
Cinco Dnano! Number five has arrived! This is my fifth 1/43 scale Kyosho Dnano RC car. This time, a gorgeous yellow Ferrari F-40! Mmmmmmmmmm, yummy!
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...o/DSC09950.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...o/DSC09951.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...o/DSC09952.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...o/DSC09954.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...o/DSC09955.jpg |
Nice F40!
Funny my 5th dNaNo is also a yellow Ferrari, but a 360 :) Got it last WE. I like the handling, will probably be my 2nd racecar, prefered one is still the Murcie. http://nanospeeders.com/photos/Dnano...najaune/09.jpg More pics |
Nice wheels! Where did you get those ones from? I was thinking that as my sixth one as well, but with PN's five-spoke wheels. That or a DB9. I'm curious where you got those alloy's and if I can get a set?

Hmmmm, don't see those listed. Thank's for the info, how's their quality and handling?
|
Quote:
They are listed currently, but you have to check "in any country" and "in title and description". |
Thank you, I found them and might have to copy your 360 when I get mine! LOL!
I hate yellow cars, but I absolutely love yellow Ferrari's! One more question, do they have the peg on the inside rim to lock them onto the hub's? |
Quote:
I can see yellow cars better on the track, and because of that I prefer yellow (or other very light colour) when building a race car :) I don't use my black Mc Laren at all because I can't even tell in what direction its aiming from a distance  I am waiting for the Mc Laren body in pumpkin orange, I am quite sure they will make them :) |
I'm waiting for the Gulf Mclaren, blue/orange color scheme. I've seen pictures of the Dnano version and it's just as nice as the Mini-Z model. That would be my Mclaren choice.
|
i wanted the gulf db9 but it seems were stuck with the green livery for now.
|
I like the green, it's a traditional Aston Martin color and it suits it well...............
Only thing I don't like about them is they look like their wearing lipstick with the red ring around the air-dam! LOL! |
OT but I think that liveries are made in a certain order where they start with the less desirable so they are sure to push the sales a second time with the more desired ones... Now they make the McL Gulf, now only the Porsche 917 Gulf, Lancia Delta Martini, etc...
This is why I did not buy the 917 yet... I want the Gulf and I am patient ;) About the Aston "lipstick" I think its a tribute to vintage british racecars, like this Lotus here or here Now really OT, sorry ;) |
