newbitowner 01-19-2004 03:01 PM

Is it hard to put in a new PCB?

codedat 01-19-2004 03:57 PM

No not hard at all. Some soldering is required. about 12 wires.

newbitowner 01-19-2004 05:53 PM

I don't have any experience soldering. It doesn't seem easy.

codedat 01-19-2004 07:30 PM

Link on soldering

I have a couple of links you can go to to show you how to solder. You can buy some parts to practice on before you try on your XMod.
Here you go:
my second post has links on soldering 4 beginners

hope no one burns out their speed control board because RS will not have any in until april :(

newbitowner 01-20-2004 11:27 PM

speed control board=PCB

Which is the antenna(on the car)? Mine is all bent up.

codedat 01-21-2004 01:21 AM

The PCB that holds the Fets (ie. IC6 and IC5) that go to the motor.

New_B 01-25-2004 11:42 AM

What is the yellow parts in the front called? The holes that hold the knuckles on top are larger, which messes up my steering.

newbitowner 01-25-2004 10:17 PM

I tried to order a RSX body and L joint cups, all were on backorder(3-6weeks).

Has anyone ordered lately?

kasper01001 02-03-2004 01:17 AM

If you are after the one that the front of the body attached to those are still a mystery. as for the other one that is in the body it is attached to the body in the body kit.

Changes in the FAQ

I have made some changes in the FAQ as to the location of the FAQ with pictures. I have created a new site CJ's Hobbies.net where the FAQ will now be found I am also working on making it more portable and soon to have a PDF version of the FAQ. I have not had a lot of free time to update this version. I hope to do it soon though. Above all If you have any questions about the FAQ or want to contribute to the FAQ let me know.

For this part 12414207 - PCB ASSY RECEIVER, is this the pcb and reciever for the car. If I bought this and the servo, would I have to solder it to the board. Pics of the part if possible.

gertman 03-14-2005 12:34 AM

Why can't another remote ex. a Mini-Z's work with an X-mod if you just change cystrals? Are X-Mods not truley on AM frequency but some sort of special propriatary one?
