Picked up my first micro and it does seem faster and I like the way it turns, but the controller blows. The zips' transmitter is so much better that the micro sizer that radio shack has the better product. The run time also seems to be 1/3-1/4 of a zz (but I'm using 1 3.5v lithium instead of the two double AA bats).

I gotta jump in here. I feel that the zips, aside from the power output from the pcb is a superior product, especially for $20.

I've been through 3 microsizer and not one of em travels in a straight line out of the box. All of my zips handle exceptionally and go straight!

I would keep the zip and stick a microsizer board in it. The range on my zipzap is 30 feet indoors just with a simple antenna mod. But the range is a little poor out of the box, I'll give ya that.

In regards to swapping out the bat and returning it, I dont think that's kewl. Although I doubt RadioShack is gonna put it back out for sale. Some places do that or at least offer things at a discount if they've been opened. But I'd be pretty pissed if I bought a used one, and assumed that nothing would be wrong with it aside from it being used once or twice from a dissatisfied customer and finding out that the steering wires are all messed up and the battery was swapped.

Just my 2 cents.

who said any thing about the steering wires and so what, thats what happens on e-bay all the time, and no they dont discount sell em i have a insider there at my shaq and get a good hook up he keeps some stuff and i get the rest. haha i got lots of spare chasis and bodies, and controlers so i dont have to be scared of doing any mods(if it blows i just swap it out<hasnt happend yet>). seems people dont want to have to modify a care to get good range,oh well more parts for me hehe
