It seems like the beetle would handle not as good as the others too.

bB body handles TERRIBLE!!! my celi body handles great, and the lancer is in between... hopefully, I can convince my mom into buying me the skyline body set!! I want one!!

I've noticed that sometimes the bodies fit "tightly" on the chassis because the tabs that hold the body stick out a little more than others, there's a PCB that's flipped and somethings aren't low enough,, etc.
If I find the chassis and body have a tight fit,, then the steering of the car gets screwed up a little. (depends how tight) I find that body tightness seems to make my car's chassis favor a direction. Like big turns to the left and small turns going right. When I take the body off the chassis my steering returns to normal. I've encountered this problem usually with my Supra body, but I've also had a tight fitting Skyline body that did the same thing.
This problem can really affect really low-cost clones with slightly different body mounting tabs. I've seen Bensu's with the body tabs off center on purpose!

Anybody else see this problem?

I got the supra and the same thing happened, try to tighten the screw, it helped my steering a little.
