So. I removed cripple capacitor from PCB in my booster car. Did not gain much, but 2 feet is better than nothing, I guess. After playing for a while I left my car on table and started reading a magazine. And the car moved! Just for 1/10 of second. I just thought I must have imagined it and continued reading. And it moved again! I pick up the damned thing, looking closely and waiting. Again it moved rear wheels a little and turned front wheels. WTH?!?

Anyway, I figure it has smth to do with that cripple craper (if that is what it was at all...) Of course it is too smal for me to find it in the trash...

Did anyone else experience this??

Maybe I'll try to turn off all the stuff I have in my room and see if it still moves...

Hello!

I'm new to this forum, and a new owner of Bit Char-G cars (Subaru and Mitsubishi). It really sucks Tomy doesn't produce them anymore... I guess I bought them last minute...

I searched this forum and read a lot about Bit Char-G, I found really good mods that I will try for sure, but did not find the answer so my question. If I missed it somehow, I apologize.

I hope there are more Bit Char-G users as it seams...

So, I would like to know, if I could use regular transmitter to control 2 speed car (Auto Modelista)? If can, would it run at full speed or half speed all the time?

And vice-versa: Could I use 2 speed transmitter to control regular car? (of course with 1 speed all the time)

Thankyou, M

I finally finished my first 1/87 scale tractor trailer. I posted a video on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNTAX...e_gdata_player

It's radio control using Spectrum 2.4 GHz transmitter and reciever. It also uses a Spectrum servo for the steering. The motor is a GM15 pager motor with a 25:1 gearbox. It runs on a 200 ma Lipo battery. It uses a modified servo board for the speed control. I need to build a better speed control (esc) because slow speed doesn't work as well as I would like.

I also want to add lights to it.

As you can see in the video, everything is housed in the tractor. One of my biggest challenges was finding small bevel gears. The ones i use now are from a
Rc helicopter tail rotor but I would still like to find smaller gears.

I made alot of the parts on my small Sherline CNC milling machine and my Atlas
Lathe (you could make the parts without a CNC machine but it would take a little
Longer.

I would be glad to post pictures of the internal workings if anyone is interested.

Hi @ all,

For my Menck I need an old dumper so I build this one.

Its a nice toy to move sand

to maximize the fun, I can change the platform in a cran (also moving)

So I have one heavy truck with maximum fun.

Mostly the parts (gears, electronic, battery,...) are availible at www.1zu87modellbau.de. The reciver is a small spektrum-clone. The model itself is a wiking dumper. The crane platform was taken out of a kibri kit.

best regards and happy micromodeling
