Here are my initial impressions, I'll be following it up with more details

The TX
Nice, solid. Uses 8xAA batts (just like the Perfex from Mini-Z).

It's got;
- Steering trim
- Throttle trim
- 3 way power switch; On, Off and Charge
- Power on LED indicator
- Charge Button (Press it to start charing)
- Peak charge detector built in (if you press the charge button quick, it quick charges, press it longer and it'll long/full charge)

Instructions
2 pages; Page 1 is the Japanese version, and Page 2 is the English version. Not exactly comprehensive, but it'll give you enough to run the car

The Car
I bought the Red Vitz, but I'd wager that it don't look much differnt from the Hondas...Which is to say, Bulky and not very exciting.

I suppose there's SOMEBODY out there that likes the way these things look...But I'm thinking since the prices are droppin there ain't many, I know I ain't crazy about it. The car DEFINITELY screams for some mods in the 'looks' department.

But as far as the performance? Smooth. Being fully Propo, this things drives nice. It ain't gonna win any speed races though, but I suspect they didn't set it up for speed since it's rather bulky and would probably barrel roll at even the easiest of turns

The Bottom Line
Pretty it up (like with some better rims) and throw an addition cell in there (for speed) and this little guy could be your new favorite car to drive!

Took some pictures (more to come):

I've only had my Maru for a day and have had to take it apart TWICE to free up the steering (keeps getting locked up)...Even after tearing it completely apart, I still haven't been able to pinpoint the problem area yet.

So far I'd have to agree with the speed comparison of the Maru to a Bit with a 2.2 motor in it...Not terribly fast.

Then again, it's GREAT for table-top running and small tracks....Smooth and precise steering/throttle.

Looking at your pics, I wonder if that would even be a concern. It appeared to have a low center of gravity, being that the wheels themselves are smaller than a Bit front wheel and low clearance... it would seem to handle the G's (of course this is just speculation, since you've got the car and I don't I suspect that you'd have more of a handle on it's capacities).

The body itself, is it top heavy? Any chance of cramin' 2 more cells under that mongral shell?!

hey namuma! did my thread on doing the tri - cell mod get deleted because it was from MRRC?? or was it because it was just a REALLY REALLY bad thread???

about the quad cell mod, if you did that would you need to add more FETs to compensate for the higher voltage??
anyways i thought i might add this for the people that dont know
3cell puchi = 4 cell epoch so a 4 cell puchi would be crazy fast i think

maybe you should contact yokomoUSA?? johnk on MRRC did that and he got a free car!!!! his problem was that the steering kept locking too
