you can remove both cripplers (one on the circuit board of the rc and other on remote control) you can then also add a hard antenna to your remote control. these mods should give u about 50 ft of reception! :D
if u need help finding how to do them... QFM has instructions.

is the circuit board in the booster controller the same as the normal conrols?
if it is, is the crippling capacitor in the same location?

there is no cripple cap on the booster set or the car...
but there is a way to boost the range.. attach a telescopic antenna on your remote and you'll get better range instantly.. search the topic out and you'll get pictures that I posted up a while ago.. i know cause i've done it and i get close to 50ft of range.. and i put on a new antenna on my car too.

i opened my controller yesterday. its filled with surface mount curcuits, so its not the same. does anyone have the schematics for the booster controller? if so i could figure out if their is a cripple capasitor! Also i saw a capasitor on the car where the older ones have a cripple capasitor does it have the same function?
