Well, I thought I wouold (try to) show my DTM SP, so far. The body is currently a WRX, but it isn't painted yet. Sorry about the blurry image, my digital camera isn't too good, but you can see the speed controller the LHS included with it. It is from a RC motercycle. The best part is that it is a ESC/receiver combo, so it saves space. The main question I have is can we get rubber tires for these things, or am I doomed to stick with foamies. I want to run it on smooth pavement, and all they do is spin. Not bad for $100 including a magnum JR radio!

Thanks,
Nate

Try an on-line shop for 1/24 tires. Most similar brands (Dynmite rocket racer, DTM, Kawada, etc...) will fit the DTM.

Curious - did you get this local? From the CT area and most shops have nothing close to the 1/24 scale. All 1/10 or 1/18

You could use rubber tires from the rocket racer, but foams have more traction. To avoid spinning, which is caused mainly by the oversteer and other several reasons. You could limit how much the servo turns on your radio(I currently set mine at about 5 out of 10). Also, you could loosen your diff and make sure you have straight allignment.

I am from Vernon, and the shop that I go to is Manchester Hobbies, I think they are off Center St. or E. Center St., they are pretty cool. I don't think they do races for these little guys, but I may try to spark an interest.... As of right now, I race on fridays, we do stadium trucks. I have a XXXT that I race, and usually break :) ! So, if you want, stop by and maybe if you know some people, we can generate enough interest. They have a pretty cool track, check it out:

They are pretty cool. I got a steal on my DTM, but I think it was a one time deal....

Also, I just painted my WRX, it is a sweet metallic blue pearl. When I borrow my freinds GOOD digital camera, I will post better pics.

Later,

Nate
