i know this may sound REALLY stupid, but is it possible to make makeshift mufflers?
(Yes, i kno, im kinda desperate : þ)

Sure, why not? Just find some kind of thin silver pipe and trim it.

hehehe...... i was planning to use the metal cone of a pen i had, it really resemble a muffler i wanted to use on my REAL project car. in fact, i just might add that! :D :D :cool:

Just use a black plastic pen cap. Looks nice.... I'm useing one on my Z... lol....

yeah but it would be kinda...well... HUGE on a bc-g:D
it would scrape the ground........youll lose speed...and get beat by people with 1.0 motors :D
cones just dont look right.. cylinders are the way to go....im still looking for something really shiny to use as mine...

I remember when I visited a CA hobby store eariler this summer, I saw a bunch of aluminum tubes of all sizes for sale, some of them were like really small, and it would probably work on a bit...

I should think you would be able to find those pipes in alot of other hobby shops moreorless, I saw just telling everyone where I was when I saw some:p

hey there, i am totally into bits ever since i laid eyes on then in Velocity mag. Anyhoo, your question about mufflers, you can get stuff called 'aluminum spacers' from radio shack. they only cost about 3 bucks and they can be stacked to imitate a muffler, on the plus side if you make 2, like my NSX, they act as a wheelie bar. try it out
