View Full Version : Can the TO Elite Modified Coreless handle 8.4V?
See the thread title...
Can it handle 8.4V?
can the Novak SPY ESC and Novak XXL AM and the TO modified handle 9.6V?
hehehehe.... think of the possibilities with 9.6V and a 14T pinion... now that'll be a rocket... :D
Thanks!

NO!
There are many posts on the forum at the sister site of this site, yourmicro.com, of the Novak Spy frying while running more than 7.2v. My brother tried 8 cells on his Spy and after just a few minutes, it was a smoldering pile of melted metal.
Have you put your Team Orion Elite Modified into your DDR? I put one into my DTM X4 and found that it was WAY too fast for any sort of racing. Now, if you plan on setting land speed records or drag racing, the TOEM is just fine. If you're planning on racing on a "technical" track, I think you'll find that the TOEM gives too much speed.
your right... after checking the team orion website, it only supports up to 7 batteries. Anyone try the DRR with 7 cells?
I run my drr with the TO modified coreless and it flies! Takes a little practice to control, but I love it!
