CRP Brakelight Unit (what about heads? anybody know?)
Nope, they only make a brakelight, but it's very cool because it plugs into the CRP and really works as a brakelight should. Headlights you can just make yourself! :)

do the brake lights have to be used with the crp?
Hardtrukr

Yeah. It plugs into its own plug outlet (the one all the way to the right in the pic.)

How are you going to fit that HPI motor in the X4? Do you know something I don't? As far as I have been told, the diameter of the motor is too large which keeps the pinion gear from meshing with the spur.
I had one of those DRP units but mine sucked!!!! When the battery became low, the car would turn right if it was floored. Also, the servo is very fragile and large. I also had a problem with glitching.

hmm... My bearings will be here tomorrow, i will tell ya when its assembled. and the 45T motor is the same exact size as the stock!

i thought the hpi was round and not the shape of the normal motors.
gertman

The HPI motor I am referring too is the round one (I think it's called the "big block"). It is the one in your (Hardtrukr) picture in the 1st post of this thread. AND it is NOT the same size as a 180 motor! :p
Hardtrukr
09-02-2002, 09:49 PM
It is round, but in length and diameter it is the same. butit wont fit because it is completely round?
gertman
09-02-2002, 10:06 PM
YES,
You have GOT IT!!!:D :D
The way the motor is oriented in the car is the flat spots are horizontal. If this were not the case, the motor would NOT clear the drive shaft.
Do you understand now?
Hey, try it anyway; maybe you can get it to fit!
Good luck;)
are yoy SURE the diameters are the same?
Hardtrukr

IT FITS!!!!!!
gertman

Your sure it's the round motor? Is it the Big Block or something else? Please post a pic.
Also, what pinion and spur gear are you running?
was ist los?
09-04-2002, 09:52 PM
he is probably referring to the hpi brand mod motor. the 45 turn one.
gertman
09-04-2002, 10:33 PM
Is the hpi brand 45 turn mod motor totally round?

I realize this is not the place to do this BUT I just noticed your signature so I'll tell you why I think usagi HATES Micro RS4's:
The whole novelty of the Micro is that it is small (compared to a 1:10 scale touring car) and handles pretty good. WELL, the whole size thing is NOT a novelty when there are cars like the ABC DTM x-4 which is SMALLER and FASTER and handles practically as well on most surfaces available. So, what pluses does that leave for the "Micro"? Isn't EVEN calling is a "Micro" a misnomer:rolleyes:

yep, its the HPI one! 45T & blacker than black :p. I would love to post pics when i can get it to work on my computer. (just reformatted it) but the X4 is all put together!

OK, it's this motor......right? What pinion gear are you using? How many teeth? What about the spur gear?
was ist los?
09-08-2002, 01:48 AM
too bad that motor doesnt fit in the sp.
gertman
09-08-2002, 01:58 AM
If you opened up the slot in the bottom of the rear motor pod it should fit? What do you think?
Hardtrukr
09-08-2002, 01:37 PM
Yep, thats the one. no modifications and the pinion gear is the mid-sized one. gtg

09-08-2002, 06:48 PM
but you would also have to cut where a screw hole is.

I had been a owner since micros came out, after awhile I just got sick and tired of the continous of breaking parts........metal parts? well I did that........But at the end all I had was a over prices r/c 1/18 scale. In my mind the are not worth the effort of fixxing or buying. Anser your questen?!?!?!??!?!:p

I see.........sorry was ist los.
woody, I owned 3 micros one all metal and the others basically stock. I been thur the battle and war with them. At the end I saw nothing but a waste of money sitting there. I landed up giving one to a family memeber and the others to charity. Will i buy them again? noway! Was I happy I tired them? well sort of........I learned a some thing about small scaled models. Not everyone you find works as good out of the box like others. I am sticking to my mini-z and other smaller scale cars now a days. I just got tired of rebuilding them, must owners don`t even run stick micros... Lets forget about this mess and continue with te discussion a hand.........
