well my servo from servocity.com finally came after 3 weeks! i ran the dtm on slippery floor and pretty high traction cement. i really like this car. plus it handles much better than a mini-z and a lot faster stock. i love the acceleration and parts quality is splendid. though not too fond of the ultra low front ride height. about a centimeter. is there anyway to change it?
current set up is:
rs4 micro stock motor
ipd race-20
hitec hs-81mg
HUGE futaba receiver

I'm also looking into buying a SP. Still looking for the fastest motor that will fit w/o motor plate mod.
Is that hitec hs-81mg a bit too big on the SP. If not, I may as well get one cause I think a metal gear servo will last much longer.

Great question was ist los,
And YES there is a way to raise it!!!! Thin out both front steering knuckles.
Would you like me to post pictures of mine?

I used a Dremel. You could use a hobby knife or a file. Here is one front knuckle:

Please remember this is permanent!
Sorry I don't have a stock part to compare it to. Do you see I put a step in where the ball-end screws into. Is it clear how this raises the ride height?
Please ask if something is not clear.
Think your SP's fast now, slap in that GPM High Speed motor!!!

I was going to suggest to dremel the bottom of the king pins. Make sure it's even, and do the same for the screws.
This is not my original idea, and I never used it either. I like my ABC's just fine, even with my 56 mph ABC.

As much use as I put my DTM thru I eat tires fast. So when my tires get really worn (lowering the ground clearance) i change to a shorter king pin. Find someone with a micro lathe and have them remove about 2mm or 3mm from the BOTTOM portion of the king pin. This raises the cars height but doesn't weaken the steering knuckles or radically change the steering geometry.
