Here's a shot of my tanks.
The Digiq's arrived a day after I finished building the King Tiger.
Next step is to weather and detail the 1/16th Tiger, which is an old stock Tamiya Tiger II running a single 540 motor with clutches controlling direction instead of dual motors like the re-released 1/16th Tamiya tanks.

Tiger stats:
Gun power - 10
Life points - 40
Ammo count - 15
Reload time - 5 seconds.
Sherman Stats:
Gun power - 5
Life points - 15
Ammo count - 40
Reload time - 1.5 seconds.
This makes a game on the war setting a pretty unbalanced affair. The Sherman is slower than the Tiger which is ridiculous. The Tiger only needs 2 hits to kill the Sherman but the Sherman can plug away at the Tiger all day and not kill it (it takes 8 shots as you can see from the stats) so anyone driving the Sherman will insist on playing on the practise setting.
From what I have read about the full size versions of these tanks during WW2 this comparison is accurate (except for the speed). The Sherman was nicknamed the 'Ronson' because it would light up every time it was hit by a German tank.
Regarding the Tiger I read this quote;
"To kill a Tiger send five Shermans, and expect to lose four."
The armour caused problems though. The Tiger was slow, unreliable and had a very poor range thanks to voracious fuel consumption.
Tomorrow I will start experimenting with a resistor to lower the current going to the drive motors of the Tiger to slow it down and balance the two tanks.
What are the stats for the T34 and Panther? Are their individual strengths and weaknesses balanced ?
