I picked up a Tyco R/C fast gear MINI cooper car today at TRU for $14.99.This car is fast I took it apart and the electonics look like the Taiyo the anttenna is attached inside the roof of the car like the Taiyo. The steering is controlled by a HO slotcar can motor instead of a Magnet/Rotor set up like the audley. The car is 1/32nd scale like the audley. The transmitter is a display stand for the car.Very fast car and I have another MINI cooper for my collection:DThey also have a Viper and a pickup truck check them out at Tyco r/c (http://www.tycorc.com/product.asp?sku=91891&cat=cool_cars#)

MTL Get your self one LOW profile Man you won't be disapointed.I Might pick up the viper also:cool:You can also control the 27mhz MINI cooper with the Audely 27mhz A transmitter. It is easier to hold in your hands. This car is 3 times faster than the stock audley it a little to much for my kittchen floor

Got the Mini Cooper for Xmas....wasn't sure I wanted it so I gave it to my Mother's fiance. Once I found out how fun these were, I went out and bought the Chevrolet SSR for myself (and to have a second one to race)! These were marked at 35.00 in the JC Penneys men's dept! They were only 14.99 at Toys R Us, although they were sold out. I got mine at 50 percent off the inflated JC Penney price (after Xmas sale).

These are quite fast, unfortunately the motor seems to overpower the slick tires, even on carpet. Will have to do a tire swap.

Detail is quite good too. The SSR's tires even have a tiny Chevrolet "bow-tie" pattern, just like the SSR show car! (Too bad it doesn't help traction any).

One of my friends has that exact car except he did a little paint detailing. I raced him against my dual cell bit and I was wasting him until he hit my bit and I spun out of control. I can'twait until I get my auldey all souped up and I can waste him. lol. Overall the cars look very detailed

do u know if there are any Corvettes in FastGear? because in not really fan of the Viper...
and yeah, the pcb does remind me of the taiyo opened up...but does yours come with a cover?...i find that the cover helps alot from gettin your pcb dirty cuz i play outside all the time....

what about the rims? is the front smaller than the rear? or same size all around...?

here is a pic of my taiyo with auldey slicks on the rear haha...it actually turns alot better on concrete...and im currently trying to wear em out so that there is some roughness to it...btw, the taiyo has same width rims all around

i like how they stick out of the rim sorta, give it a deepdish style rim ....i guess

..when i first saw the fast gear, the paint job was incredible...looked like metalflake paint...

These are to cool looking for stunts.tyco makes a generic truck and car. Is made for stunts and jumps.

I got one of their stunt cars. the controller is pretty nice, but clicks like buttons. The tire treads are kinda weird looking too. The bodys sit really high, so there is a lot of room to lower it, or put on larger tires.

Inside, they are exactly like the fast gear. I've taken mine apart- putting in relays and a tamiya motor. It should be pretty fun.

These things actually do have some massive power. They can do burnouts if you stick something in front of them, plus the Mini Cooper looks spot on!
