After ordering my Digiq Sherman and Tiger last week I just found a set of two tanks that have even more functions for the price of only one digiq.
Check this out - 1/33 scale Abrams (http://www.hobby-warehouse.com/intoyrccomta.html)

These tanks have twin motor drive, rotating turrets, sound effects, IR tag and even emit smoke when hit. On top of all that you get two in a set for about the same price as a digiq combat.

Not bad, but I'll stick with the digiq's - they are way cute.

I have these tanks and they are JUNK!!! The range is poor but the real problem is the delay. Press a button and wait a second for the response. They have sound, engine and gun, and you will be putting tape over the speaker in about 5 minutes. They are way too loud. The smoke it lame as well. When you get hit, there is a small hole in the rear of the tank and little puffs of smoke come out. It uses veggie oil so it smells like burning french fries while you play. The only funny thing is after you get hit, I think it's five times, the little dude in the turret gets launched outta his seat. That is if you set him in there gently or he will get stuck in his seat and not pop out.

Save your money and get a pair of digi's.

One more thing: I'm pretty sure that these are radio controlled not IR.

"This is the Interactive Toy Concepts Three Way Infra-Red Remote Control Lazer Fighting Battle Tanks. "

"The controller operates on infra-red light beams "

But if they are crap who cares how they work.

The anime (and manga) is named Dominion. The tank is called Bonaparte (an ironic reference to Napoleon). I've always loved the design of that little tank and have often given thought to modifying my T35 to resemble it.
