Good question.
So far I haven't heard of Epoch offering body kits, nor any other 3rd party either.

Correct, body kits are not yet available. Crash, how are you guys liking the Epochs? One of you should repaint it so you can tell them apart. Let's see some custom bodies!

The epochs are great!... we ran them a bit at work... (covertly in the mailroom)... and they run really well on short carpet and can drift wonderfully on the countertops.
I'll paint my car shortly... (been busy goof ing with my Penguin chassis for my Micro RS4)
Epochs are great... they are a bit bigger than the Bit char-g's but are light years better than the bits and digi's in performance...

Ha ha, like the signature Crash, thats a very familiar sound to most.
Does anyone have a pic with the epoch next to the bit?

I'm going to be working up a First Look and Review of the Epoch this weekend, with lots of pics and comparison pics (Epoch, MiniZ, Bits, Digis). So more pictures and info to come too.

The Epoch Indoor Racer is the first RC car I have owned that is smaller than a Mini-z. So far it has been just as fun if not more. The handling is excellent for a car this size, and the attention to detail on the bodies is first class. One nice thing about these cars is that a standard 27mhz AM rc car transmitter can control them. However, I am getting used to the stock transmitter and it is not that bad. To me these cars are worth the price when you consider the fully proportional speed, steering and attention to detail.

i very much agree that my epoch racer spec 2 is my favorite right now...i used to take me mini-z to the market, but it would always act up glitching with short signal range...now.. i take my epoch and its excellent!! i dont get any glitching and goes out farther than the mini-z with no problem!! if you have tight spaces in the house its way perfect!! by the way, im using the mini-z perfex radio transmitter and it is so damn excellent since steering travel can also be ajusted....

Some time has gone by, still no obvious place to get replacement bodies from. Seems those passionate enough will convert bodies from 1/43 model kits.
How to attach the body to the Epoch chassis? The stock body has two black mounting brackets (measuring 36 mm x 6 mm x 2mm with two 1 mm dimples at each end).
Has anyone found a place to buy these? Or make something similar?

All the Spec2 bodies are available from www.apexrc.com
They sell all the parts and such, but I am waiting for tinyrc to get these, gotta support my favorite forum.

Thanks BT. I should have said *different* bodies rather than *replacement* bodies. On my wish list is American muscle cars and foreign exotic cars.
The first challenge is finding a 1/43 scale body. The second challenge is how to mount it on an Epoch chassis.
The Apex site does have spare parts and stock replacement bodies. Yet they don't have the little black tab that snaps the body to the chassis.
Search continues. If anyone's bought one or made one please post!
