I emailed one of my local hobby shops about getting a DRR. This was the reply I recieved...

Jason - Horizon Hobbies had a sale on these cars a few weeks ago. They are discontinuing this model and it could be hard to get parts for it in the future. I would not recommend buying one. An HPI Micro is a much better investment. Or if you want a different make car, Yokomo is releasing the new Sonic soon. Thanks for the inquiry..

Question..
Will all be lost if I buy one?...Won't I be able to get anything for this car? Or is he just saying this so that I'll buy the more exspensive micro and race with a class that is already established at my local tracks?

From what I have heard what he is saying is true. But if you can pic one up for under $100 than go for it. Parts really don't break on these cars and IM sure aftermarket parts will be available. Even if you did break it and no part was available the servo, ESC and receiver are good units that you could install in another micro.

Thank you IRC! I was going to buy one just because they are s o cheap.. 59.99 us! I think I will.. I'm more interested in the hop ups.. I race 10th scale nitro and have been racing 10th scale electric since 1989. So I'm not so worried about breaking parts..

Thanks again

about the parts, if something breaks on it and you can't find a replacement for it give me some time and I am sure I could either find you one or make you one. I have alot of machinery accessable to me. Wish I had a good CNC machine.....I would make my own cars! as well as paintball markers paintball marker acsessorys......
