Hi all,
I just got two wild char-gs and I've played with them for 4 hrs. straight.. loads of fun.. but now the raise wild char-g can't turn right.. it stutters, but never turns...i opened it and everything seems to be in order. The turning mechanism seems to be in working order, but I can't seem to find the problem...
has anyone experienced the same problem?
TIA

open it up again, and press the left and right button on the controller, it should move, if it does that is a good sign, then just move it left to right using your finger, it probably got stuck on a gear, has happened to me. IF it does not move when you press your controllers left and right button then you may have broken one of the wires for turning.
Hope that helps

Hey DisFourDan,
the turning post does work if i hit left or right on the control. The wheels seem to work correctly when steering(different speed on inner & outer wheels), with the wheels off. Its when i put the wheels on, it sort of stutters and just goes straight. I'll look again at the gears .
thanks

Hmm, if you can understand how the steering works, you will figure out the problem.
did you put the wheel on correctly?
Make sure all the gears are in the right position.,
if you know that left and right wires are correct then it limits the problem to the gears. Look there since you stated that the turning post works.

ok, if you've opened the Wild-G up before it could also be the wires are in the way. When you look at the steering mechanism, you can see it sits on a small rod. When you close up the Bit and snap the top back on, depending on how the wires are placed, sometimes the coated wires get in the way of the steering mech.
Open it up again. This time, when you close it up, pay special attention to where the wires are placed. Make sure they aren't physically interfering with the steering mech.

How exactly does the steering work on the Wild Char-G?
Do the front wheels move?

No the front wheels don't turn. but the steering works more like a slide steer

the front wheels are there just to keep the front up. Inside of the Wild-g, in the middle of the chassis, is an electric magnet (like the steering in regular Bits). It moves internal gears to the left or right, thus sending more power to either side.
This lets it turn sorta like a Digi-Q. The number of gears inside slow it down though. This setup is more for power rather than speed.
