For those who own Mini-X's, how much faster and more fun are these in comparison to the bits.. Im thinking about getting a mini x.. so far i have z-cars, microsizer and a couple clones. Looking to go bigger... Is it worth it, or should i just reinvest in a few more bits :) I LOVE to tinker and upgrade, these look alot more upgradable etc... Fill me in please! :D

Or should i be going for a Mini-Z??? Im really confused... are mini-x's as good as the mini-z's?!

Well, it's a choice between 2 and 4wd, and high or low detail bodies. The Mini-X has 4wd, up to 6 cells, and 4 wheel ind. suspension. The Mini-Z is much less advanced in terms of electronics and mechanics, but offers more hop-ups and better looking bodies. If you're considering a Mini-Z, check out our sister site Mini-ZRacer.com. Where would you like to run your car, this may help decide?

A stock Mini-Z is slower than the stock Mini-X, especially on low traction surfaces.

Remember though the Mini-Z has tons more modifications available via stores, where the Mini-X is more a stock runner, some parts but not as many as the Mini-X.

Well i would be running it outside and on industrial carpet in my basement... Basically anywhere really. I dont know of anyone with a track or anything so it would just be for fun :) I registered on your sister site so im learning more and more! :D

Do you guys think that the mini-x will eventually become more customizable etc?! I like to upgrade and tinker around, ugh such a hard decision! :)

Im returning my X, the mini-z performs better with jsut a little less hopups, the mini-x handles horribly in my opinion, i highly reccommend you get a mini-z and buy some hopups from minizracer.com , also there is only bearings, springs, wheel nuts, and tires as hopups on the mini-x, its just not worth it.

I still personally like mine more than my friends Mini-Z. But really there have been no problems on my end with the Mini-X.

Is there any differance in speed between the x or the z?? :)

Stock the Z is slower. But remember there are tons of mods, and yes the mini-z can be faster after you mod it up.

i have one mini-x 4 wheel and one 2 wheel .. im getting a super fast 2 wheel motor that can handle it ..i love the mini-x's i have many bodies avail. i also have a minix truck.i think mini-z's cost way to muchg and have to do way to much to get them where you want them speed and quality wise.

I agree...my friend with the Mini-Z is expecting to spend $150 plus the cost of the car to make it what he wants. Where as my stock (or 6 cell) mini-X is awesome. He has even said he likes the handling and innovation of the moni-X more, but he is a super tinker, and has plenty of $$$ to throw at them. Also he loves Ferrari Modena 360 bodies, hence the mini-z being perfect for him.

Also when the snow melted we raced on my nice 1 yr old driveway, and well the mini-z's suspension couldn't do it at all, but the X was great!

let me make sure what colors i have avauil. and then ill send you my paypal id. ill ship to toronto no problem..you do realized you have to make your own body post holes..not hard at all..i actually like usinf a drill bit that has been slighty heated ..that way you get a clean hople and when you heat the bit it doesnt crack the plastic.the minix is so fast that it needs either a bumber or some other kinda protection ..these bodies protect quit good.so tomarrow ill reply back to this as to what col,ors i have ,.,.i know i have white and blue ill check the other .;-0

Slot car motors will be slow in a Mini-x because they are suppose to run on 12volts

DANG!!! DANG!!! I wish I could afford these killer machines, or I wish I could afford the WAY overpriced mini-z hop ups!!! Its almost half as expensive to hop up my darn 1/10 scale car!!! Its just not fair :(
