Assuming all you have is the kit (rolling chassis) this is what you need:

battary pack - may buy the ABC 6 cell or make one etc.

charger- need to have a charger where you can regulate the amps (preferably a peek charger)

servo- I suggest a HiTech HS-81mg it's cheap and has metal gears

speedcontroller- I suggest a Novak Spy

receiver- depends on what kind of radio you have (try to get the smallest you can)

radio (controller)- any land (75 or 27 mhz) radio will do

body- ABC makes their own bodies out of lexan

And no, we won't hold the whole Canada thing against you :D

just wondering if a regular sized esc would work in these ABC'z

The esc is probaly to big. What kind of esc are you talking about?Do you have any measurements of it?And if it did fit you'd probaly have to change connectors program it and then and then it would work. But if you buy a NOVAK SPY you just plug it in and your off.

These are some ESC'z I've had in mind... ES-01, Novak Spy, Novak Atom, and FUTABA MC230CR. I've heard the ES-01 is cheap? like how cheap have u seen it for? BTW is it also plug and play? or do i have to mod it to work in my ABC? BTW i already fit in a Team Orion Elite Mod in my car...

Does n e one know where i can get an Airtronics ES-01 ESC? or does someone have one used? and will it work with a 180 size motor like the Team Orion elite mod?

The ES-01 from stormerhobbies.com is only 30 bucks. But for twice that you can get the Spy which is alot better because it is made to handle 180 size motors with no problem.I am not very familiar with the ES-01 but I think it is plug and play. The ES-01 is not made to handle 180 size motors but it will work for short periods of time.I strongly reccomend to NOT use the ES-01 with a mod 180 motor. You will probaly burn it up.The hitec reciever can be found on eBay for about 20 bucks. And for the ES-01 if stormer doesn't have it you can ask tinyrc for one.

Using a GPM 130 MOD motor from my Mini-Z, I burned out the forward in my ES01 within one battery!!!!

I used a stock micro motor in a ABC DTM for 5 minute intervals and it seemed to work fine. But I was afraid to use it any longer than that, god knows what would of happened.LOL

I got my ABC DTM TODAY!!! :D anywayz... Ummm the guy i bought it off gave me a micro servo and 2 ABC motors. one is the size of a Mini Z motor but has some ABC brand sticker. The other is 180 size cuz its the same size as the stock Micro Motor but has ABC sticker on it i'm guessing its an ABC mod motor and the smaller one like the mini Z motor is the stock motor. Now all i need is a body, ESC, battery pack and charger... crap soon it will be able to run as for now i'm poking it with a stick pretending to make it run fast off my desk LMAO!
