After playing around with my OEM Bullets I noticed that they would spin out after and extended straight line run followed by a sharpe turn on your typical slick surface, a better, softer compound was needed. So, I machined up some delrin hubs and used some material from some Dave Brown R/C wheels which is a type of foam rubber compound like they use on slot cars. Problem solved, man does this thing really handle. Now I'll do up a CNC program and some 3D surface contouring to give then a little more style.

All I can say is WOW! How do you have all these resources at your disposal?

Tinyrc, this and other tricks to follow are really no big deal for me. I made these on my small lathe at home, the other equipment such as the CNC mill is at another facility. I'm a model airplane nut and fly them in competition for the past 29 years and in order to be on top I must build and modify alot of engines so another hobby of mine is machining and CNC programing. here's an example of one of the engines I build, which was cut from a solid chunk of aluminum.

Wow, it may not be a big deal to you, but I'm certainly impressed!

i agree completely with tiny. BTW, are those tires something similar to Reston? cuz tehy really resemble that from the pics.

can you make engines for nitro cars?
