My girl just got here bit today and I put my 2.2 motor which came in my booster pac in it. She has a accord wagon which came w/ a 1.0 motor (crap!) I put a new 2.6 motor in my booster skyline and I think she as fast or faster than me. What's the deal??? Oh yeah....does anyone use the gears that come w/ the upgrade motors?? Mine doesn't fit! Won't turn!

Did you try to change the pinion gear on your car? that could be a reason that your other gears won't fit..

well it really depends on how much u use your bit char-g.... i have one and it's used pretty much everyday.... so there's a lot of milage on my car.... my brother's bit, hasn't been used; only once when he got it.... he took it out just last week and i put a 2.2 motor in it.... I raced his 2.2 with my 1.0 and mine went faster than his..... i let the 2.2 motor warm up a bit and tried it again.... this time it was a close race but my 1.0 still went faster.... so i think it depends on how much mileage u put on the bit.....
btw, i tried the 2.2 on my car, and damn it was fast..... faster than my brothers with the 2.2..... so put more mileage on the car.... and for some crazy reason, it goes faster.... (?)

Take the black pinion off of the old motor.Put it on the new motor the car will work. The white pinon gear is for the BIT cars.

Cool.... I did that. Works great! What about those gear sets...... do they make a difference w/ a 3.0 motor??

Wedginator, have you ever replaced the battery in yours? It could be to do with the battery breaking down internally, which actually results in faster discharge, meaning more speed (but less runtime).

hmm.... tinyrc, i actually have more runtime and more speed for some strange reason..... anyone in Toronto want to race my 1.0 motor with a 2.2??

Weird, maybe all the wear has created bearing-like smoothness on all the moving parts then?

Probably.... i do use grease once in a while and there's a lot of mileage on the car :)

I bought the gear set and I think the green one is the one that works fastest for my 2.6 motor. Is this true or is the blue supposed to be faster??

The 2.2 is an all around better motor, doesn't wear out as fast as the 2.6. but it is starting to slow down.. try this...
If your car is beginning to slow down...
-vaccum the car out by taking all moving parts out and using a hand vac or shop vac to suck all kinds of dirt and stuff out.
-make sure that there is nothing stuck in the gear mesh. you can carefully remove any small rocks or metal with a needle.
-if you have a 2.6 or 3.0, thats your own damn fault. they just slow down cuz they are stupid.
-ok, now the fun part of fixing your motor probs. This worked for us at one point in time because we were kinda crazy and bored.
step 1.) set your car upside down or if you have a brand spankin new paint job and don't want to mess it up then place it so that
the back tires are off the ground.
step 2.) turn on your controller and place a hammer (or any other large object that won't end up pressing the reverse) on the forward
control. make sure that the object isn't so heavy that it squishes your controller.
step 3.) Go make yourself a personal pizza in the microwave.
step 4.) Has it been a few minutes? yes? take it off and drive it. Is it faster? yes? YAY!
-this, we call "cycling". this works because when you are running the motor freely it has time to warm up and the gears are loosened up
and freed of all foregn crap that might be stuck in there.
-hey, it worked for us!
