I have an older model mini-x. it is brand new, but the older model. I lubed and loosened the diffs and it runs great on 4 cells (for right now). Anyway, my question is it seems to die when I turn hard, kind of like the motor is no longer getting much power. is this common? will adding cells fix this? I don't necessarily want it faster, it's just fun to play with. Thanks in advance for the help.

I think your problem is the same as all Mini-X's:

When you turn hard the front drivetrain, mainly the dogbones, get too tight with the cups they ride in on the wheel side. If i run mine at full blast while holding it and crank the wheel hard you visually and aurally (hearing) the drive slow down.

Not sure how to fix this, maybe limit the turning...i mean my Mini-X hardly needs much steering as it tends to go a bit to fast on our course for full throttle steering.
